  1. Had a brand new custom made £800 exhaust system fitted as well so you might be right there. Had the garage check the idle position because it idles too high and gets stuck, won't go any lower than it is though. Had a cambelt change as well, will double check timing just to be sure. After the headgasket change it ran like crap, was over fueling, and on boost running too lean, felt like a time bomb, most useless garage I've been to, wish I had done the job myself. if only I had the time. Took it to a performance specialist garage and they got it running as best as they could. (was wires not connected and who knows what else they forgot to connect) but now I want it running perfectly. Thanks
  2. Seems since I've had the head gasket done that the car doesn't run as it should, I know it needs a remap due to having the TD04 billet turbo instead of the Garrett gt28rs, but it still shouldn't affect it when it's not under load? Some times on first starting the car up the revs drop and the car dies if not reved up for a few seconds. When pulling away smoothly (slowly) through the gears, the air/fuel ratio goes from 14/15 into 18 and beyond what it can read. running too lean. (Normal)? This one really has me stumped. Depending on how the car feels, on idle the air/fuel ratio will vary from 12 to 16, tried tinkering with the fuel pressure regulator, but if I put less fuel into the engine it holds back as I pull away and runs too lean, too much and on idle the opposite happens. (Yet I still have the same two problems stated above no matter what I try to do). Any ideas what the problem is? I'm taking the 5 hour drive up to Tuning Developments to get it mapped as soon as the clutch had been bedded in, but would be nice to know if it's fixable here.
  3. Been so busy with everything so a late reply, but I picked up a TD04 billet hybrid turbo from Tuning Developments, hopefully I get the performance I'm looking for.
  4. I'm just worried that I'm not gonna get the magical 300+bhp and be really disappointed that's all. Spent so much money on it already, don't want to ruin it's true potential.
  5. Sorry for the slow reply, fitting shouldn't be a problem because there all engineers so can fit just about anything. It's a 5efte bottom end, fully forged. Could be rebuilt, but it's gonna take ages to import parts from God knows where and i want the car for the 18th. Not heard of a k04 before, ill have a look thanks everyone
  6. Turns out my turbos decided to go pop. I had a GT28RS running about 300bhp, fully forged. Obviously it could be rebuilt, but the guys at the garage said it's likely to just go pop again because it's in a bad way. What turbo should I get? Obviously I don't want to loose any power, but I have no idea where to begin. The current turbo has so much turbo lag you wouldn't believe, but I loved the power. Any ideas, and/or links to some decent turbos would be appreciated. Just had a new custom made manifold/exhaust de-cat system made as well so something which matches up is important. Thanks.
  7. Awh, thanks for the help anyway everyone
  8. That sucks, what about smoked lights? Anything's better than the standard ones.
  9. Where can i get some angel eye headlights for my glanza v from? Think they would look really smart with clear indicators
  10. Ahh that makes sense thanks a lot Sorry late reply been busy with the motor
  11. Wasn't sure where to post this, so hope it's in the right section. Anyway I've seen on the forums a lot about different starlets being different EP's, such as EP82 or EP90 e.t.c. Thing is I don't have a clue what one my car is? Build thread here if it helps at all: http://www.toyotagtturbo.com/dynamics/showentry.php?e=25075&catid=member&entryuserid=6707 I assume it's a model code? Probably a stupid question, sorry. Been trying to find out for ages haha.
  12. Don't worry taken it to a specialist
  13. Would highly recommend, part as described and delivered pretty much instantly
  14. Apparently it needs re-mapping, it's really bad though.
  15. Need everyones help on this one asap. Apparently after getting my head gasket repaired my car is over fueling. The garage doesn't deal with engine changes like mine. (beyond their expertise) but poorly put together is the only way the garage could explain it. Who can I take it to who can help? Any specialist garages in my area? Ashford, Kent. Could it be the custom ecu which needs changing slightly? Build here: http://www.toyotagtturbo.com/dynamics/showentry.php?e=25075&catid=member&entryuserid=6707
  16. Thanks
  17. Thanks again buddy All ordered
  18. Even if its just the bottom end that's a 5e? Thanks matey, you're a life saver
  19. Car build thread here: http://www.toyotagtturbo.com/dynamics/showentry.php?e=25075&catid=member&entryuserid=6707 Guy said he thinks he used a 4e cambelt, but the car has a 5e bottom end and crank, so what belt do I actually need? The 5e is longer with a few more teeth apparently, I don't want to waste a load of time and money and order the wrong thing.
  20. Hello again everyone. Need to fit a turbo timer, hate having to sit in the car for 2 minutes waiting for it to cool down haha. Apparently a Greddy one is the one I need, anyone got any links? Don't want to order the wrong thing. Also how hard are they to install?
  21. Thank you Great community, already had a lot of help
