  1. Dont touch walbro they wine like a bitch. Hence why they call them winebro. Ill check up on the bosch but i do think its internal

Just bought a new Walbro from mine and it's quieter than the one in my mate's car so depends on the model I think, or maybe the insulation......... they are good pumps though apart from the noise :) but then that's only my opinion. Bosch good too....... they use them in rallying.

  2. Can you let me know how it goes. I e got the same problem and a fucked up wiring job. Previous owner put the fcd in the engine bay and one of the wires was shorting out on my inlet manifold. Taped it up now but i still get flat spots when i give full throttle between 1-3k rpm

Sure I'll let you know Turk. That's what I get. Flat spots when I accelerate around 2-2.5k and it's jerky as hell. I've been told it's fuel cut. My FCD is behind the centre dash on the transmission tunnel so I probably kick it with my left foot sometimes........... I'm going to solder it all up when I get some space and take my MR2 out of the garage - or it's sunny!

  3. Hi DickyDan

Great, how much for the double pod inc postage to Guildford?

    and Asa,

Did I see them in the For sale section? How out of date are they? Mostly track days no competition so if they're vgc I'm interested as I have a blue seat!

    Hi DickyDan,

Is the double pod still for sale? Did you get my msg?

  4. Hi

Does anyone know if hesitation and jerky throttle reponse is actually fuel cut? I'm getting an engine light and code 31 come up and I've been told it's most likely the wiring to the HKS FCD that could be dodgy, I can believe that with the history of the car...... but could the map sensor be fooked?

Does anyone have a link to the FCD wiring diagram?

    Help appreciated.

  5. It would be interesting to see if an uprated torque converter could be fitted. Imagine a nice high stall and transbrake for awesome launches. Would recommend a big trans fluid cooler to help with longevity

Good point Stu, just like the drag racing boys in the US do.

    Liking the video iamlegend!!

  6. Sorry to drag the old post up I was thinking the same re power.

I have an auto GT dyno'd @ 175 and it's fine. Goes like stink, std CT9 with FMIC. Also as I'm disabled the auto is why I bought a GT. MR2 turbos aren't auto and tax is cheap!

Wonder what a TD05 or Garrett would do to an auto??

There are a few auto boxes on ebay that I have seen for when I break mine.

Anyone know what the highest bhp is for an auto on here? 287 is a fair bit.

  7. Yeah I have over drive on all the time makes it change down early when cruising and better when a boot it and also has anuva button just above park but it's in Japanese so carnt read it lol

This one unlocks the box out of park so you can move it out of Park if you don't have the engine / ignition on.

Also I've found the same box is on my MR2.... that's auto too. The revs @ cruising motorway speeds are lower in the Auto, nicer for me and my ears.

  8. I am running T1Rs and they aren't too good in the wet........ as people say.

I'll be looking at Uniroyal Rainsport 2 as Camskills can do them for a great price and only charge 2.95 postage..........www.camskill.co.uk

Would people run Rainsports as "winter" tyres as they are so good in the deluge we've had??

    Anyone tried Kumho winter tyres?
