Just picked her up earlier with the help of my uncle and gt-turbo! Loved it as soon as i seen it, had a quick look round it and had to have it, so took her home, heres a few of the previous owners pics ill take some tomorrow:D UPDATE : 25/03/2013 flat tyre already ffs:/ also started tackling the surface rust today UPDATE : 5/042013 got my custom sticker in the post today from Vinyl Styling:) also started on the alloys using nitromors , a paint scraper , a wire brush and a sander and still didn't get all the paint off after 4 -5 hours, might just get them blasted to save time and not have to deal with sore arms from sanding haha UPDATE : 28/04/2013 got a few things done so farmade a new parcel shelf, got a new radiogave it a quick washGot new locks all round from the lad 123*stumpy who used to be on here at a very good price. Next on the list is new driver side window as mine won't roll up or down because the 2 clips at the bottom of the glass are broke. Have to fix an oil leak , thinks its coming from the timing case as it only on the lower left side under the filter. Then need to get new tyres , throw a standard exhaust on and book it for nct. heres 2 recent pics, you can see the bit under the door trim he tried to spray with an aerosol. and im not even going to start on the housepaint touchups. UPDATE : 17/05/2013 heres the progress on the whell i stripped, still have to get the rest of the paint off! UPDATE : 05/06/2013 done a bit more work on this the last week, replaced all of the bulbs that were blown and bought new license plate, need to rewire the licence plate lights as the connection has corroded on the inside, will be done by friday hopefully. also worked away at the wheels removed the remaining paint with a wire brush attachment on a power drill, came up grand, gave it a sanding with 60 grit, then went to 120, will be giving it a rub down with 240 tomorrow and keep moving up the grades until its like a mirror:P UPDATE : 09/06/2013 finally took pics of the parcel shelf i made haha compared it to the old one picked this up from the uk at handy money should have it by friday at the latest UPDATE : 04/07/2013 and of course...ive found rust! who the fuck would fill a hole with caulk and paint over it..ffs!! UPDATE : 15/07/2013 new original gear shifter as mine was stupidly cut and too low, had to grind it to find reverse, now i just have to lightly nudge it into gear:D also hammered my door back into shape lol was badly bent when some wee scrote bent it out trying to get into it Before After UPDATE : 30/07/2013 getting it prepped for NCT, removed the sunstrip will be putting a standard box on and borrowing wheels to put it through, have it booked in for pre-nct and sill to be welded on monday hopefully:) UPDATE : 05/08/2013 Sprayed the wheels today:) UPDATE : 19/08/2013 welded in the new sill today:) UPDATE : 24/08/2013 removed rear wiper lowered car+ wide wheels = bad choice if your carrying any weight at all:P tyre was melted last night UPDATE : 29/08/2013 sill sprayed and laquered got a set of white sidelights although one has a tinge of blue in it, dont care really as they were only 2 quid lol also trying to fix an oil leak, drained the oil and it was rotten! so bought new oil and filter and changed it UPDATE : 29/10/2013 Havent updated it lately, Got the oil leak fixed, new crank seal and oil seal put in, not a drop is leaking so im happy aha , Got a new headlamp and wishbone of Jamie ep70, met me halfway and got a few pics of the two starlets together Needless to say, i want smaller tyres and coilovers asap! Wanted a trd style spoiler and lads were looking for crazy money for them, ended up finding a lump of sheet metal that was used to make a gate but then was left in the ditch just a few mins from my house, so brought it home and chopped it up, came out like this test fit its not as big like other trd style spoilers which i wanted as i dont want to have to rivet it on because of the weight... next job is to paint it and have it fitted Hope to have a few more big updates over the next few weeks;) update, got new spoiler and went down to Kenny murphy to swap wheels, such a sound lad:) two daylight pics:P illed the car with people to see what itd be like slammed, it looks well haha Went for NCT 2 weeks ago, failed on rear shocks having play in the bottom, rear brakes need replaced and carb needs set up to stop it running rick which is the cause of my high hydrocarbons.... Ordered a set of rear shoes for the brakes and they arrived yesterday, hopefully fit them this weekend:) wee pic of how its sitting now New fogs
get a piece of masking tape,electrical tape or anything straight edge....put it along the F,take a pic to show its not line up and that'll be proof that the person who made it must have a lazy eye....
