  1. Cheers pal, have never seen anyone else using them and wondered wether it was for a reason think I will invest in this soon then
  2. im looking at getting a boost controller but prefer the guage type ones, has anyone ever used one of these or know anyone who has? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/260975496286?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D260975496286%26_rdc%3D1 D2 electronic boost controller & HDi 60mm dual display boost gauge DR SBG-DR***
  3. So today I made a makeshift pressure tester for my wastegate... Put pressure in and at 2psi the wastegate started to open and by 6psi it was fully open! So I tensioned it a few mm and refitted it and it was staring to open about 8psi! So left my bleed valve open and tested it down the road and we hit fuel cut at 13psi! so tweeked it down a little bit and she runs like a dream so mikey4410 I thank you for your help! Top lad
  4. Ahh so were none the wiser then haha. Ermm no. I'm not sure my boost gauge is accurate to be honest I'm just assuming it is :/ thing is with td04 it doesn't feel half as fast as my old glanza with hybrid ct9 :/ that was 170bhp I was told and think this td04 could do better?
  5. It originally had a hks adj one on but I don't think that one worked either :/ so if I remove the pipe keeping it closed and road test (without blowing it up) should I see more boost?
  6. What do you mean by isn't loaded? When I rev it just before you let off the wastegate opens so its doing something maybe not enough?
  7. All I have is a bleed valve on the wastegate pipe, a fuel pressure regulator and a boost guage. Which is the same as what I had on my old glanza which ran 12psi on hybrid ct9 no problem.... Just no matter how much I turn the bleed it doesn't change?
  8. Hi all, I've recently finished rebuilding my td04 4efte that I put into a n/a rep. Done everyrhing as I should but after a few road tests found it will NOT boost over 9psi?? I can't hear any boost leaks and it seems to run spot on just can't understand why it won't go any more?
  9. I'll try and get some pics up tomorrow, and I have an aftermarket slimline fan so it has no plug so just wanting to cut the plug off and use connectors once I find plug :/
  10. Cheers bud I'll have a look tomorrow, there's about 5 plugs around that area and assume they're for the aircon etc so I'll just look for the 2 pin
  11. Just finished doing my ep91 n/a 4efte conversion and have quite allot of plugs left over as I don't have ac or power steering or abs. Now the car came with a half size rad and slimline fan so none of the plugs fit to the fan so I'm looking for some pictures and help locating the plug for the fan then I can use spade connectors.. Any help will be appreciated
  12. Right I'm in the middle of a 4efte conversion on my n/a. I have rebuilt a fte engine and will be running tdo4, just got a loom from fte.. Now my question is can I (temporarily) jump some wires across from the ignitor plug on the loom etc into the standard 4efe dizzy to get it running just to make sure its all up and running sweet then save for a 4efte dizzy and leads? I think I'm about a grand into this conversion plus 500 buying the car and just NEED to hear the beast run
  13. Ahhh now that makes sense just couldn't see a breather so thought it was just a sealed tank. I'm in the process of having one done, rockers done but the tank only had 2 fittings so need to make a fitting to put a breather on in that case
  14. Yeah but what I'm saying is, with a little filter on the top the pressure is escaping and with this setup there is no vent its still a sealed system so its essentialy the same as blocking the vents up?
  15. On these race spec rocker covers do they not need breathers? Surely they're there for the engine to breath but then its sealing it by not having a vent?
