glanza s ep91

Hi, I have my 5efhe almost in bits but I'm finding it hard to find out if a 5efe rebuild kit will be ok on my 5efhe. I know the engines are identical apart from the rods,pistons and cams. There's a few sellers from America selling the rebuild kits for the 5efe but they seem way to cheap and didn't answer my question when I asked them. So my questions to everyone is 1. Will the 5efe rebuild kit be any good for all the parts including gaskets and bearings? 2. If number 1 is no, does anyone know where I can get the kit from? Thanks

I got the same sort of noise on my paseo, im pretty sure mine is one of the pulleys for the timing belt as I've disconnected all aux belts and the noise is still there.

Nah mate they came on the 5efhe engine to as with the right ecu it's able to rev almost as high as the fte. I'm glad for you its only a normal 1 as I can't find one for mine anywhere.

is that the harmonic damper pulley as used on the 4e-fte and the 5e-fhe? if it is and you find out where to get one let me know. if it is the harmonic damper pulley dont buy the solid damper off the 4e or 5e or the alloy one advertised on ebay and other companies. heres why http://www.atiracing.com/products/dampers/damper_dinan.htm

I don't think its the same size, I had one fitted but had the rest of the exhaust made the same time so could'nt compare but since its made for a 1.5 It would imagine it will be bigger.

hi all, thanks for getting back to me. when you say you have a halfcut do you mean a sera or a paseo? if its a paseo I have a 97 paseo which I've removed the engine from so could use the wiring loom from that. I've been told that I need a specific HG thickness does anyone know what that is? also is there a way to see how much the 4efe head can be skimmed? limit markers or something? the plan is to use the 4efe head that is in the glanza atm because I know there is nothing wrong with that one and if I can get it skimmed to up the CR even more. just to clarify 1 thing, apart from the crank, rods, pistons, cams and length of block is everything else on the 4efe and the 5e-fhe interchangeable? where I get my parts from they seem to know nothing about this engine because its not a UK engine and it would make life easier if they are. I took the head off the engine today and found something that I think is really strange, only 3 - 4 of the water galleries were open in the HG the rest were all sealed (not cut out) is this correct? surely it cant be as this would affect the cooling. I cant find out how to upload pics to show you. also some of the lobes in the cam were pitted here and there which is something else i've never seen. all help on wiring to best engine parts to swap and use would be great. thanks

Hi, I have a Glanza S which I am going to install a 5efhe I have managed to buy. The engine is the non acis engine. My question is can I just swap the 4efe ecu with the 5efhe ecu? They look the same with all the plugs. Thanks

hi, I have a glanza s which I was going to put a 5efe into, I have just found a 5efhe for sale so im after some info on what I need to do to install a run the 5efhe in my glanza s. all help appreciated. thanks well ive won the engine and should be easier than I thought to run now as it is coming out of a paseo and has been converted to distributor instead of COP. all that is lft to do is to remove it and fit into the glanza.

just about to buy some of the new meister coilovers, they are £770 but they are fully adjustable height and damper settings, I read somewhere that meister said these new ones will go softer than the older ones so a more comfortable ride but cant find it now, and if a tien edfc kit will fit you can adjust them on the go to what you want.
