Yeah shes coming along slowly but surely. would have fitted my FMIC but it sitll hasnt arrived:( a friend of mine does flocking, so im thinking of getting the dash bit ive sprayed and the dial surround flocked in white. would look good me thinks. As we speak trying to find a way i can mount my blitz air filter in the front bumper, tis a massive filter but i wanted to use it as it sounds UBER!, also painted the fuse box cover and the washer fluid cover in the same paint as i used for the cam cover Soon im going to move onto the interior...Think it needs to be done!. ***Finally an Update*** Right i got all my gaskets from toyota so i started work on getting the ported manifold and the ported turbo back on. along with the hks actuator that i got for a bargin of £35!! anyway some pics for you all Everything back together before going on the car, spot welded the mani nuts on as they were locking nuts and i didnt want them coming undone! Then realised there was one bastard nut i couldnt really do up:( now i know why people put the mani and turbo on seperatly. you can see any spanner i could get on the nut would just hit the oil filter housing. how do starlet/glanza turbos compare to cliosports?
Jules-B replied to eggy790's topic in Lifestyle General
stock for stock i would say the clio. But as soon as you start modding a gt/glanza it will be gone!. turbos are so tuneable. with little money you can up the boost to a bar and then if your still not happy you can alwyas get bigger turbos. I would imagine modding a clio engine would be very very expensive Plus you have got the reliaility of a toyota -
yeah thats the one In my opninion if you want to run a turbo of that size to get a ct20b. as i said they are far better turbos. although personally i think there would be too much lag on the little 1.3

i need that livesports sticker!!!.. where did you get it from? nice progress by the way man

fairplay, by all means go up there, but from the attitude that i got from them and there ''friends'' when i was there, not all was right. and when i looked at the cars there were major problems.hopefully they have sorted their act out in the last year
-
i would look at the traders on the forums mate On tgtt there are a few good ones Toby imports cars (toytuning) www.glanza.co.uk also has very good cars Trevor although in ireland can put cars on transporters and can be driven here Either that or i would say look in the classifieds and do some research on the owners posts to see if they have had any problems and if they have looke after their cars

the ct26's came on some celicas and early mr2 turbos, mk2 rev one and maybe rev 2. the ct20b is a very similar turbo, but is much stronger. the ct20b is much bigger than the ct9. i would go for somthing a bit more suitable for the car. Alot of people change the ct26 to the ct20b as it is a stronger and better turbo. this is on the mr2's by the way

I wouldnt get buy any motor from bradford man. The amount of shit and dodgy cars i have seen in dealers around there is shocking
-

Got my cambelt done! (toy tuning de-cat any good?)
Jules-B replied to himmys gt turbo's topic in Lifestyle General
i can get mine done for the price of the belt:p -
I have to disagree with all of the above I went there to look at a glanza (4 hour drive) and on the phone i was told that it was a minter. when i arrvied there were scuffs on the bumpers and was a massive crease in the boot. The people did not know how to do a diagnostics check there either. Was there 30 mins and picked MAJOR problems with around 5 of their cars If you want me 2 ill find the thread from tgtt that i posted at the time Jules

haha i knew this would come up one day on here! well i do a couple of things actually, my main job suprisinly is as a classical musician. So i travel round playing with various orchestras and recording stuff.Thats why im in nyc at the moment... alot of people wouldnt think thats my main job when they meet me! On the other side im working as a music producer and sound engineer, so i end up recording various bands, people send me their tracks and i master them. one of the biggest ive done so far is probably being one of the assitant engineers for one of the Queen tour Dvds. That was pretty mad.

For Fucks sake..your 17!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, get a 1.2 clio, or a corsa, so you can learn how to drive legally before you get into a powerful car. or else your gonna have a silver gt wrapped round a tree, thats gotta be at least 25 extra bhp...
-
I was thinking about that actually idrees, where could i get them from and how much would i be looking at on average?
-
Im a musician mate Takes me all over the world, was in hawaii last month, so i pretty much get paid to travel! Haha ill take many a photo when im back, i promise. what other mods do you think i should add to the list already, as i cant think of any more unless i get a rrfpr or a diff turbo set up

Haha,The varis bonnet would finish the bodywork completly, but not having a spare 500£ around is a bit of a pain, maybe get one around the christmas time.Galliano the bodykit spraying was already going to happen, no doubt about it. I wouldnt be able to drive around in a car with a kit a different colour!! The guy at the bodyshop (who i have used before) is very very good and had a contract with lotus to do all their fibreglass painting for 7 years, so im taking the kit to him. He quoted me around £400-500 for all the kit spraying including the spoilers, and the two holes on the

my first glanza came from there, even though i didnt buy it from there and is a nice motor mark, www.glanza.co.uk can get you some nice motors, or he has a nice glanza a the moment

Cant honestly belive people are saying WRC are a good company. They are complete cowboys, i picked major flaws in 4 of their cars in the 20 mins i was there, was lied to on the phone, and none of them there even knew how to do a diagnostics check. Really good importer eh? Id buy from somone on the forums, or one of the well known importers. Jules
