  2. Just sent a link to my mate who owned this for about 8 years. Both him and myself are very impressed with the progress you've made. Glad it went to an owner such as yourself.

    Onwards and upwards.......... and moreboostwards!

    Cheers jezza 👍

Shes had some money spent on her, but worth it :) it was a strong little engine till i touched it lol!

Hahahaaa.. 1.4 bar and ill be a happy man :)

  3. Good progress..

See u copied me and went with bonnet pins for bumper..

Dont know why more people dont follow..

Regardless of track or jus road so easy to pop on and off.

What you meen i copied....;) it was ever since you followed me on instagram i loved it! Yeah ano there dead handy!
  4. Yeah good for you mate going forge something positive has come out of it, probably the quickest way to blow money though, but doing research your be surprised how many people have actually done it.

Yeah you can say that again! Cant wait to get it back on the road hopefully catch the last of the summer!

  5. Also made that rookie mistake aswell K2NXY inlet pipes on wrong way round,, you start the car up and think awwww yes there we go only for it to conk out, unit I took the plugs out and turned it over and coolant came straight out, it's a bad bad feeling, so stripped the lot and rebuilt it from scratch again, with the help of my mate who owns a jap only garage.

Its a awful feeling! The thing is my friend jordan blew his up the same way years ago, and he warned me about prior to me ripping it apart! I wish i listened a bit more now lol! Aww well ill learn now! And made me go for a forge build ha

  6. Managed to nab myself a rear splitter diffuser, its like marmite you either love it or hate it! But i love it and with a jam, varis or livesports spoiler, the back end will be made!

  8. So now unsure of what has went wrong with my engine i spoke to mike from tuning developments, could be numerous things until split, so i come to the decision to go for mikes stage 2 forge rebuild but using my own scat conrods which i purchased of toffa!

Engine straight in the back of the teg and 2 and a half hours later my engine had now been delivered to mike!

Few days past and after being split the cause was not one but two cracked pistons grr :(

So now whilst my engine is there i can crack on sorting the rest of the car out to the spec i want it :)

  9. Well after the head rebuild, it started perfectly then after 2 minutes of running it started blowing belows of smoke from the exhaust :(

So i turned it off took the plugs out and there was cooland on them aswell as the oil being like fresh mayo! I then realised i made a rookie mistake and still kicking myself for it now and realised i plumbed the vacuum lines the wong way round on yhe inlet :/ anyways switched them round, serviced it and took it for a run, shes back! Well thats what i thought after a few days off running her ahe started to misfire so i changed the plugs and let her cool down... Started fine.. Problem solved not quite :( after 5 minutes running on tick over it started misfiring again.. So i thought it might have been a little bit of shit still in the cylinders that needed burning of so i moved her outside and booom spluttered and cut out completly then would not fire :( give every thing the once over and a new set of plugs still no luck and could see un burned oil in the cylinders :/ so i knew it was bad from then, my instincts thought ringland failure.. I was gutted :(

Thought fuck it wngine is coming out and i will go from there!

Gearbox and ancilleries off to check my clutch ( as i ddint know what was in it) at least i can look at putting my new box on anyways

    76D75EA4-66EB-485B-B003-0492FE46230E_zps

Turns out i had a TRD clutch in it with loads off life left on her ideal, wondered what was in it as it felt strong and wasnt to heavy

  10. Head has been skimmed put the head back together! After replacing most of the seals and giving the head, rocker, inlet and exhaust a bit of paint it was put back together before i knew it :)

I also purchased some goodies, some that needed replacing anyways inc

    Magnacore ht leads

    Oil cooler

New half size tri core rad with fan

And a few other bits and bobs

This is how it looked all put back together!

Apart from the missing rad pipe it looks a bit cleaner
