  1. Top bloke.

Bought a front mount from him and have zero complaints on the way the sale was handled. Communication both before and after the sale was great and the parcel was sent in a timely manner, well packaged.

A big 10 out of 10 from me, cheers mate, pleasure doing business.

  2. Have you checked the clutch pedal height?

Had these exact same problems when I did a clutch change on my old gt4 which was an engine out job. Spent ages trying to work out what was wrong and was faced with ripping it all out again when I checked the clutch pedal and found it was too low compared with what was specified. Once readjusted (about 20mm) I had all gears again.

  3. Hi mate, sorry for slow response, hadn't realised how many places I had hidden away starlet bits but have managed to find them.

Looked back at my history and can't be sure if they are 330cc or 370cc (they have light green tops) but if you're still interested I'll do them for £75 including postage and paypal fees.

Like I said I've never used them so it's probably worth getting them cleaned up, let me know what you think.

  4. I think I've got some used 370cc injectors floating around somewhere if you're interested.

Bought them from a member on here but never used them as went bigger power so got 430cc instead. PM me if you still need some and I'll see if I can find them.

  5. Is there an engine stamp somewhere on the block that confirms engine code?

Was looking through the motor history of my gt and over a couple of years there is a note to say a letter was produced stating the engine was a 4afe from 1989 which changed the emissions limits.

It's clearly got a turbo but didn't know if this was a conversion that could be done, another engine swap or a previous owner trying it on.

    Cheers

  6. Hi mate, I've got a sard adjustable fpr if that's what you're looking for.

Bought it off a member but have only used it to prove that my stock one wasn't playing up.

    Pm me if you're interested.

  7. Hi all, after some advice/people's experiences with turbos.

Looking to possibly change my td04l but not sure what to go for.

I have a tf035hm sat in my cupboard in unknown condition so may do something with this but have also been tempted by a racetech stage 1 td04 or a Kinugawa billet 19t td04hl with a lightened turbine blade.

I'm looking for something with similar spool to the standard td04 but that ideally has scope for pushing a bit more top end power as I move on upgrading the motor.

Currently have a forged gt and was running the td04 at 1.4 bar until the clutch started slipping at high revs so now turned back to 1.2 bar.

Would prefer to stay with a td04 compatible option as I bought a new wepr manifold last year.

I've read lots of various threads on turbos and now well and truly confused as to what might suit my needs best, hence this request. Cheers

  8. yes airco related if urs is deleted you can remove them

just block the pipes at the source

i give you 5£ for the vsv and plug ( green 1 )

Let me know if you still need one as I took mine out the other week. No idea if works as air-conditioning was removed when I got the car but I'm sure we can work something out.

  9. Sounds like it's toast.

I mistakenly installed mine without wiring and ran car for a few days whilst I was sorting something else.

When I finally wired it mine did much the same thing. Replaced sensor and all was well afterwards.

Can't remember specific details but there is a test you can do. Think you leave it open to atmosphere and check reading then cover it with a rag soaked in a solvent (can't remember which one) and it should read rich.

Worth having a Google for AEM wide band showing lean, all details should be there.

  10. Yes the injector times you can leave them 0 for new and old. Unfortunetly for the fuel trim table,by zeroing it out it should be stock but it doesnt 100%. ( found that on mine )

OK, great, thanks, that makes it a lot clearer and gives me a good starting point. Will watch for iffy fuelling on stock levels.

  11. Leave them 0 and adjust from the fuel table. Or else try inputting different values by trial and error till you get around 14.7 on warm idle.

Ah, ok, is this both new and old lag times?

Am i right in thinking that, if all of the fuel tables are set to 0 then fuelling should be per stock ecu?

Setup i have seems to include injector control loom so was thinking i needed to sort injector details first.

  12. Have a read through this thread.

    http://www.miataturbo.net/ecus-tuning-54/rx8-dead-time-small-pulse-controversial-results-58980/

I used the 0 column on the secondary table which represents the latency vs Batt V at sea level.

These have worked fine when I mapped my power fc. I had to plot the values on a graph with a trend line so I could find the latency times for all the even battery voltages and input them into Fc Datalogit. I'm unfamiliar with emanage so not sure how these are entered.

    Dan

Great thanks, will have a look through. Ultimate has a simple field to fill for previous cc and lag time and new cc and lag time, one figure for each. I guess I'll start at the highest figure in the table and experiment with what works best.
