yep,it had 41000 when it came to the UK, I bought it off a 57 yr old lady to, 1 UK owner for 7yrs, she only did around 2000 to 3000 miles a yr all m o t s that backs it up too, it is like new under the car.

me too, my exhaust is standard with a TRD back box on it, I keep looking at the one on eBay, Mongoose full exhaust £275 they are, I don't know if they are any good though on a glanza v, I did have a mongoose on my old ford escort gti and that sounded lovely.

There is one on eBay going for £699

good, I have got nout to worry about now then:-) the thing is I have been driving new cars before this, & yeah I know my v is 19yrs old it's not going to be the same as a new car, I was just not to sure if it was fine or not, cheers all thanks for your help:-)

No not forged, well I have done a video on me mobile but it turns out it will not send to my email, probs to long the vid I have done to send it, I will try again later although it sound ok from the video I did:-) sounds the same as (akyakapotter) engine video that he has put up for sale.

I would get in touch with the guy before you do anything or buy anything, get that spare engine off him:-)

Yep same as mine, if I rev it I get no blue smoke or any think like that, it just sounds a bit rough when cold start up, will try and do a vid tomz:-)

Hi I have not had the car long, no service history, although I served it a couple of weeks ago Castrol Magnatec semi 10/40 oil, it revs over 1,1/2 then settles fine.

First thing in the morning when I start the v up the engine sounds a bit rough, but when it has warmed up after about 5 mins its a different engine sounds lovely, are they all like this? It's just that my last v I had about for yr ago didn't sound as rough first thing on start up but that one only had 23000 miles & this one has 55000 on the clock, is this normal am I worrying over nothing?

Hi thanks for explaining to me but is this the one on the drivers side that your talking about?

Hi can anyone tell me is it easy job to change the engine mounts on a v? I have done the rear gearbox mount so far but looking at the engine mount on the passenger side it looks very tricky to get to, will it be easy to get to once I have moved the battery out? & is the drivers side a pain?

Do you know if the person that sold the car to you is a trader, On the side, or was he a genuine private seller? Had they had the car very long, is there anything that you might thing they new the engine was on its way out, you say he has got another engine?, if you don't get anything back from them you should seek professional advice, only problem is if private sell it is hard to get anything back but not impossible all the time. When you buy a used car from a private seller, you don't have the same rights as you do when buying from a dealer. You have no legal right to expect that the car is of satisfactory quality or fit for its purpose, but there is a requirement that it should be 'as described'.

Yeah will look 10 times better when you get it detailed, pics of wheels & interior & if you can under the car to, should be very tidy under there :-)
