  1. thanks lads... certainly challenging place to work but rewarding... Anyone have any issues in insuring their cars? Im 21 4years ncd DL postcode.... Green light said no... due to age etc... sky's came in at £1050 etc... Does insurance come down when its fully registered etc?

    All the best

    Kieran

Just insured my car been on the road 6 months I'm 22 n co-op cut mine in half it went from 1300 to 660 best thing I ever done :) it is n/a but it's an import and really uncommon

  2. Try shocking the nuts with a decent sized punch and hammer before slackening them.

    John

I did to start with buddy trouble is when I first got her on the road the very first place I went was to get some tyres fitted and he done the wheel nuts up with some mental air gun thought nothing of it for a few weeks then had a slight noise from the brakes one evening so went to strip that side off and boom no more wheel nuts there's nothing left of the nuts to get on to to turn it. Really annoying. Now I've I'm honest I'll be rolling into jap show with this annoying sqweek/grinding. And my lower door plastics hanging of because I'm trying to source the correct fasteners. Not a good look

  3. Ouch man! Just keep doing what youre doing dude, hammer / chisel / drill the fuckers off!

Also take the other two nuts off, get that wheel off the ground and hit the back of the tyre hard as you can with a hammer, will help shake them loose a little bit.

Thanks dude that's a trick I have yet to try I'll give it a go when I get a chance. Rely hoping to make it to santapod this weekend but the cars not in the best of shape to be honest haha it will all be sorted soon(ish) :)

  4. Any updates mate? Proper love this!

Ahhh thanks man that made my day a lot better :) nothing's really happening with the car if I'm honest I've got a wheel stuck on due to cheap alloy wheel nuts so now I'm looking for a way to solve the problem. Any help would be great. I'm thinking about taking off the front hub with wheel calipers and disc all in place and getting the studs pressed out. :(Posted Image

  5. I can sell you 3.5 Gen1 pistons...

They would be dear though plus I'm only really after the 1 to see if wossner can match it to something els or if I have to get them custom made which it £150 on top of each piston so a fair bit of money but this engines hopefully going to be way off the Normal I hope. :)

  6. You would have to go custom made, as companies Don't sell off the shelf forged N/A pistons. So best bet is getting yourself a piston and sending it to who ever is your choice and give them the piston as a sample.

that's my plan but I can't have the car off the road. So I need to find a set for sale. Fat chance hahaha :(
  7. Just a standard one buddy. Same as the one on your Gi.

Be good for chopping the flange off though.

Thanks pal you looking at selling it then?

there is a trader on here that sels mild steel 1s i got some last year but cant remember his name  they where cheap to

Awesome would be great if we knew who it was though haha

  8. Definitely not straight forward, i did a bit of a write up in the alternative engine discussion thread.

For it being worth it, yes and no, its a great engine and reasonable power, very suited for my local roads and driving style, plus the sound from the throttles :D and in an ep70-80 it would be even better as more weight saving.

However with the price of the 2zzge and K20 coming down and the lighter weight of the all alloy blocks you get more power and weight savings so i would be tempted to opt for one of them instead.

Thanks for the input dude really helps although the thought of my little gi running anything other then the E engines upsets me a little bit :(

  9. Sure a lad called Jordan had one, jtstarlet92 was his username on here.

Zisco also made a custom ramhorn N/a system, dont know if its still around or not though! Dude called Jamie had it for a SR.
