Daniel blue starlet

I just put my engine back in (1e) and i was wiring up the engine loom today but when i though i was sone there is 2 leeds spare and when ever i put the key into ignition i get no lights on the dash as I normally would, the altonator lead keeps smoking up so i changed it to the starter and it seemed ok but i still had no lights on the dash , does something else need to be grounded or what because i got no where any suggestions appreciated!! And where do the 2 spare leads go

Anyone have a set of these caps for sale?

I have a 4efe in a crashed starlet(ep91) and i want to pit it into my ep80, will it be straight forward in just popping the engine in and then using the 4efe engine loom or will i have to change anything like wiring etc ?

Didn't have much time today but cleaned the trd ht leads,coolant bottle and washer bottle and underneath the bonnet will give it a proper clean soon and paint the rocker cover and exhaust manifold aswell

Thanks,been looking since i got the car nearly a year ago and cant find them anywhere, will be cleaning up the engine bay soon and get new number plates the ones i have are very tatty.

Thought id post some pics of when i got the car in 3 years of mould and horrible smelling gunk, still have the left optional extra parking bulb in place in some of the pics but fell off sometime inbetween

Any one have a problem with the interior light thats on the roof , its not working in my si starlet. I change the fuse and got a new bulb but still wont work and theres no corrosion on it either, thanks -dan

Cheers, turns out it was a faulty rad cap ,was only bubbling because it was overflowing

Need some help with my 4efe, i left it idling for about 5 minutes and came back to seeing coolant all over the floor so lifted the bonnet and there the coolant bottle bubbling and coolant all over the place,but the engine temperature needle was not on red if was pretty low so didn't think it overheated, any advice greatly appreciated,thanks -Daniel

Thanks matty gt , was following his optional extra hunt on boards.ie for his gt ,but he is banned from here for some reason so couldnt ask.

My ep80 is a 4speed ,the clutch is gone but i have a 5 speed gearbox in a siezed 1.3 2e engine,im thinking of putting the 5 speed gearbox into my 1e engine. Just wondering if its a straight swap for the gearboxes or would i be better off just taking the 5 speeds clutch and putting it in my 4 speed gearbox,any suggestions greatly appreciated,thanks.

Thought I'd make this to show people my starlet , its a 1990 si jap import.only ever seen 4-5 of these.was sitting in an old farmers house for 3 years until i got it and was imported in 2009 for his daughters to learn to drive. Has the armrest,flare clips(sadly missing the actual flare) and the oem wind deflectors .it also has 2 oem parking lightson the rear bumper but both pieces of glass fell off before i bought the car.and also has trd leads The paint will need to be fixed as its pretty poor but it is a 8H1 blue which is rare on the paint list on here. The interior is immaculate not 1 mark,

Does anyone have a starlet van or si there must be a couple floating around ??

Sills are rusted out on mine but thats it thanksfully
