Being on night shift thought I'd pass time by starting a progression blog, and show my little girl. Firstly I've always loved starlets, never thought I'd actually ever own one though! I Passed my test October 2014 and kindly got given a Ford Focus from the father (100% child abuse... Or motivation to save the pennies for a jap car). After months of searching I found a few beautiful Gts for sale, went and viewd one and basically agreed on a sale the same day. Set to drive the car little under 100 miles home, and the bonnet decide not to stay down no more just as reaching the M1 Amazingly no one was hurt and no other vehicles were involved, had a days insurance cover with Adrian flux but after that costing £200 didn't fancy pulling a claim out against myself, so carried on driving her home and somehow didn't get pulled once?! So now after other work needed to put into the car I needed to get dents out the roof, new windscreen, bonnet scoop and to fix the bonnet catch! ...Anyone who knows me will realise how very impatient I am, hence why rushing into this sale and not viewing other Gts first, so this was heart breaking I just wanted her on the road! Anyway added the new issues to the to-do list and cracked on with her. New window fitted and dents just pushed out best we could, got a bonnet scoop from a local pervious glanza owner and did my best halford spray paint job ???? As you can see in the above picture I've got myself a front mounted intercooler which wasn't needed I just wanted it on. I had much bigger things I should have spent my money on, but what better way to past a night shift than buying presents for your car! I've then gone on to starting on my interior which was so fun, not finished by far as waiting on Zilla bucket seats to come back into production in October! But my spending got out of hand and I was getting deliveries every day! needed to stop the interior spending and focus on the engine again, but I can't not show what I've done so far ... (nrg cover is in the post) but I decided with getting zilla buckets seats I'll do my door cards to match and the outcome I fell in love with! (Haven't attached my steering wheel yet, as that's going on last before tax and insurance) So power steering leak has been fixed, new cam belt, water pump, basically an all over check. Now waiting for pay day to order some pretty coloured hoses. All left to do really is brakes before she will be road legal again. All the rest is cosmetics, going for a respray but 20 years old she doesn't half clean up well still
