Ok mate. Cheers for the heads up!!
Anyone got one lying about?
-
Ok mate. So will i need to get the standard clock face by the sounds of it?
-
As stated in title, im after a speedo converter to get rid of the factory speed cut 😊.
Just a quick one. Will my clocks now read differently when i fit this? They are currently in mph which I assume the guy before me changed the cardboard face.
Thanks in advance

be well worth it in the end mate if I was to build another one I'd definitely be going for an Orc
Ok cheers for the heads up boss! 👍

same I've seen a lot of bad reviews a about cc the only good thing is cc customer service is ment to be really good and they always send replacement parts straight away with no messing about free of charge obviously still sucks if you got to pay labour to have it changed again
Ok mate. Still good to know! Definitely going down the ORC route tho. Just a bit costly lol. With lowering the import tax, think its still going to cost 700 😞
Cheers

Ok bud sounds great thanks. Do you own a company or a plot or something?
Cheers

Didn't realise you was from Leicester mate. I'm also from leicester
Nice mate. Im from broughton astley near lutterworth if you have heard of it lol? Where u near? Will have to meet up for some race wars if i ever get this thing back on the road lol. Owned it for about 3 years drove it for about 6 month because it keeps breaking 😂

general question as you seem to have been sorted advice wise----is this a solid disc or "spring-centre" clutch?
Both sprung bud. As supplied by td, who built the car.
Thanks
-
Because DHL pay all the fees on your behalf then charge you before they will deliver it I payed £150 extra on top to get my cage would have been more but I emailed rhd to see if they could send me an invoice with a lower value to get import tax down
Ok boss. I think im going to give that a try. Just sucks how you would have to pay about 200 quid for delivery lol.
Cheers for the info lad!👍

DHL will contact you to make the import duty payment once they have your item
Ok pal, cheers for the heads up lol.
-
Remember to add an extra 20% to the total.
With 20 percent added, that makes it about 820!! How come it doesn't say in the checkout about import? Where do i add it on?
-
Exchange rate can't be great right now am sure I paid around 550 delivered for mine
550 sounds fair lol not 683!! Was that for the silent one?
-
This one is the one that rattles

Sweet cheers man. Cheapest delivery is DHL for 85 quid 😳. So looking at a 700 spend!

yes it will be more than plenty. its one of those things you just fit and forget about they are really strong and can handle some proper abuse
Hmm. Think im going to have to rustle up some cash then lol. Definitely going to go with the ORC. This the one i need?

fyi clutches are rated by how much torque they can handle not HP
Ok boss, didn't know that tbf. Says the orc is rated to 340nm. Im sure thats more than enough lol.
-
Haven't you seen the other thread regarding td products
No but i would certainly like to lol.
-
I ran one in my old glanza and never had an issue. Then I fitted one to my corolla t sport. Again no issues after 30k on the corolla and 15k on the glanza. You could always play it safe and go for an Exedy 3 paddle.
Will the exedy 3 hold the power at 300?
Thanks
-
Same can be said for most aftermarket clutches. ACT even had the same issues as the Comps. But these were teething problems. Not ongoing issues.
Ok pal. I always thought that comp clutches were good for like boosted civics etc.is this not the case with the one for the starlet?
Thanks
-
Similar things to spec tbh. Also issues with them not fitting properly and catching bellhousing
Sounds lame bud. Might have to go all out for the orc then lol
Thanks
