I had a h22 EG I built when my ATR decided to rot it's bulkhead away and it was better than in the accord vtec was lowered 500rpm so it didn't drop out if you didn't get shifts spot on, and then it had the common 5th gear problem so I H2B with a s4c ek9 box and I managed to crack low 13s at pod before I was high 13s and made it so much more fun to drive, h22 box is far too long imo but you've said s80 would be too short for you so fair enough

  2. So I bought a ATR but I still want a glanza this will be the last bump I do on here before I seriously think about importing one even with shit exchange rate there a hell of a lot cheaper than eBay piston heads etc

  3. With the shit exchange rate atm it's gone up a bit and I'm in patent don't want to wait 3 months although I would have one by now if I had of, last time I checked it was just short or 3.5k for a glanza grade 4 RO/RO 70k

My 2p worth all my mates drive s3 mk5 gti etc so when I sold one of my civics I thought I'd try a mk5 gti and what a utter peice of boring understeering peice of shit it was nose heavy and had a massive slug of torque at 2k that made it feel like diesel it was fastish in a straight line and then I drove a 290bhp edition 30 to see if that was any better it was faster in a straight line and pulled harder probably due to the k04 but horrendously boring car to drive had no character no steering feel and the brakes felt over servod to fuck

  5. This is very tempting come up at right time too, always worrys me when I see a set up with a fpr and fcd had it been running 1 bar the whole time you have owned it ? I'm only a hour away too

I would be quite happy rolling in a standard glanza with a few visual mods I'd probably build up a forged engine on the side, like one of my civics I just ran stock and built up a high comp engine and dropped that in 6 months later, been in contact with a importer tonight may have something lined up hopefully !!

  7. I'm not slating I'd still love a glanza, don't think I'd want one enough to fresh import because for that money there's other cars I'd own instead.

    All b series have been thrashed the living daylights out of them that's a fact your right but any b or d series engine is 10x stronger than a 4efte that's why I'm been so fussy I think because I know the engines are weak points.

    And I also agree on getting an enthusiast owned one I had my first teg on 112k and it was a smoker and ate oil had 8 owners my second one had 240k all original never had head off and didn't use a drop had loads of history and been well looked after only 2 owners.

    I'd say I have a decent budget considering I don't want a td04 car.
