  5. cheers mate,the rebuild(engine) was done a month or 2 back Just waiting on the hybrid now
  6. Beem signed up for a while to thought id get some pics up of my GT Had her in Augest time Here she is Since ive had it ive rebuilt the engine,and now the turbo has blown Im awaiting on a hybrid which is coming in a week will keep you updated
  7. Around £200 for parts Done all the work myself with help from my grandfather The Turbo has now blown so im waiting on a hybrid
  8. i got the head of yest and piston number 3 is cracked,im going to take the head to be tested tomorrow or one day in the week One of the guys of the other starlet fourm has got a spare rod and piston so i think ill get that
  9. yea once the engine is done ill take my time to run it in then take my time until i have money for a new mani then hopfully it will all be ok

COST Well this is the biggest issue as money is very tight Labour alone is 300pound Parts Hopfully its just the rings gone,rings come in a set of four which are 75pound Headgasket set is 45pound odd Obv the piston could also be damaged New pistion is 34each So the sum off it all...........im totally peed off,very gutted about it but theres no point of me moooping around Time to crack on Now for the plan My mate thats going to do it sugested that i strip it down,head pistons etc he said this would save me alot of money with the labour.me and matthewhughes off her will be doing it wit
  13. done compression test and the 3rd cyclinder is fcuk 1=12.5 2=12.5 3=6 4=12.5 How much would i be looking at for new rings

Yet again i have another problem but i think this is more serious The Breather comming out of the top rocker cover is spitting out oil if i drive it very slow the oil does still spit out but very little but as soon as i get the revs up the oil is all over the engine Hope someone can help me Not having much luck with this car Thank you in advance
  18. well guys i got the car sorted,put it on the ramp yest and had i look There was some sort of sheild hanging down and it was touching one of the bottm pulleys all sorted now
  19. The ticking is the idel control valve,thats nothing to worry about,all starlets do it (so i have read) The other one (im hoping) is one of the aux pulleys
  20. I think its the Aux belt or pulley mate,ill let you know when i take my car to the garage tonyt Just hope its not the cam
  21. no im not running a boost controller ive just had a look again and im 99% sure its comming from the aux pulley area
