I finally got a little longer with my engine. I made a bunch of other stuff which isn't visible, like loom for gauges and power control. I also got the interior mounted, only missing a few bits and a speedo with rpm. Intake is cleaned with a steel brush and then painted skyline sparkling silver as the rest of the engine bay. Trying to keep it simple and clean. All bolts and nuts are also cleaned before mounted. Just a pic of the interior. It's only the front seats that is gonna be mounted. I just need a strut in the rear and front. An aeromotive FPR is gonna keep the fuel pressu

Yes, can't remember the size I bought, there is 2 sizes on the powerflex website. But everything else fits like a glove, if you got a hydraulic press you get the best result.
-
It's also the front i'm a bit worried for, but it's 10 mm wider on each side, that's actually a lot when wheels need to be fitted. Think the rear needs spacers, so it looks the same front and rear. Or I could try et0 π

Yea I just cut a small piece of each side, so the intercooler fits perfectly, radiator is mounted so there is space for 2,5" pipes. Right now the wheels are gonna be 8x15" et10, but I'm looking for 8,5's and see if there's something i like. The bushings are from an ep91, actually all bushings are, but for the rear axle I had to modify them a bit, so they fit well. Bought in UK.

Yeah a couple of hours has been used already. The engine will get even more attention to get a look that's not seen every day. Actually don't know much about the interccoler, bought it of a friend who bought it from poland, a size too small for his starlet, but it's capable of flowing about 450 hp. I don't even have the dimensions on it.

#TBT ! On request, I'm uploading a bunch of pics from the build today. They are from when I bought the car till today. I've used approx. 250 hours on the bottom, and the result speaks for itself. I build my own carbon ramair headlight to use when racing. A good friend of mine used a whole day on the wings and fenders, knocked them out with a hammer, and the car is now 15 mm wider on each side in the rear and 10 mm on each side in the front. It's been made so it still fits the car and looks original which is the plan. That's why I call the project a resto mod. Removing this original body se

Some pics of underneath. It's more or less finished, some few bits and pieces are missing. There's also a view on my bc racing coilovers, really nice equipmemt π

No, you can't buy them anymore, and the left one in the front has a habit of rusting pretty much. But now they should last very long π I got some on my computer, can upload later. I have thought about painting it matt black, because it' also more efficient when it's black. And it's more hidden, the danish police doesn't like modified cars that much π

Here the powdercoated mounts for the rear bumper, reslly looks stunning! A shame it's not visible when it's mounted.
-
Finally something happened to the old lady! Haven't been able to work on the car for the last two months, but today I had the time. Bumpers are mounted with the powdercoated mounts, all looks like new. Finished some wiring for new relays, so it's ready for engine loom. I also started building the engine, mounted new main bearings and assembled the pistons and conrods so they are ready to put in the cylinders. Everything is cleaned and shined up.

Which corolla is the console from? Is it the ae82/ee80? πLooks good
-
Thanks. Yeah I haven't seen a starlet with that colour before, so that's nice. It's a previlegie to work underneath, you don't get dirty hands at all π
-
it's an original toyota colour called spruce green mica pearl.
-
Test fitted my refurbished fenders just to see the looks, and it is really great! Looks like a brand new car now. The rear is actually finished, just need a license plate when it's ready.
-
The original fusebox is going to be hidden in the front wings, so nothing more than the engine can be seen in the enginebay. I'm doing a full custom motorsport wiring loom to the engine, and then connect it to the dashboard so all things work properly. The loom you see on the picture with relays, is sitting in the car behind the centre console.

Started on wiring for engine, fuelpump and gauges. Makes it all myself, so I know it's being done right. Also started on porting the head, first time i'm doing this so it takes some time. Still needs a bit of grinding on the air splitter between valves, and then sandpaper and polishing.

All the plastic parts are painted with structure paint, so it look like when it was new. That's bumpers, mirrors, front lip and other small things. I've only seen the colour on an american Camry and a Tacoma, think the colour is only for the US. Rear side windows and rear window is tinted, very black! Looks cool to the colour and shape of the car.
-
Thanks. I got a friend who has some serious bodywork skills, so he knocked out every fender with a hammer. The edges are removed too, so I can get perfect wheel stance π

Paint effects πTook me several months to find the right colour, think it's cool that it's an original Toyota colour
-
Yeah, underbody is a huge job, think I used about 250-300 hours just on cleaning, before painting. Maybe you've seen it on japanese nostalgic cars forum, I had a build thread there before they updated the page, and my user got deleted π

Some more pics. Still missing a few bits, but got the most to get it finished.

Wanna show you my never ending project. I have had it for 2,5 years now, and before that it didn't run for 5,5 years, so a total of 8 years off the road until now. When i bought it, the car was almost completely disasembled, so as soon it got home in the garage, i started on the bottom, removing all rubber sealer. It is painted with epoxy, sealed, stone protector, and then epoxy twice in a home mixed dark grey colour as a finish. Engine bay is cleaned, all holes are welded. Fenders are widened 15 mm rear and 10 mm front. Plans: Fully forged 4efte engine 300 bhp goal Wiseco pistons MSR rods Co

Is the ee80 cluster plug n play, or did you do any mods to make it fit? Nice project you got there!

I'm not really fan of adapters mate, but thanks for the offer.
