  1. Hi guys,

    I have bought a uk Starket as a daily and I have a problem, the engine revs fine from cold but as it warms up it stutters upon acceleration and more times than none, stalls. It then struggles to start, I have taken plugs out and it looks as if it running lean, I took the air filter off and covered up the intake 80% with my hand and it revved freely and fine but when airbox is back on it stutters, could this possibly be air fuel ratio incorrect? any help much appreciated as I am now had to take my glanza out of the garage and use in this crap weather !!!

  2. Alright guys! Need opinions and/or advice!

    Had my glanza in the garage today for decat and suspension changes etc. I also had a dyno run and a leakdown test.

    Car is relatively standard, only things done to it Is air filter, decat and full kakimoto exhaust.

    The readings on the leakdown test were cylinders 1 3 4 showing low 20's but cylinder 2 showed 55% but after a few cranks it went down to 40% also from the dyno readings it was making 143.2 bhp at the flywheel. Also the guy said it was burning oil when coming off of the accelerator.

    Now I have been advised to change the cambelt and also look at my valve stem seals but just want to see if anyone else has had this problem and what they have done etc. Car seeks to be running a1 no nocks or bangs and sounds mint and spot on. Car is also relatively low miles 111,000 km

    Any opinions and advice welcomed

  4. Hi there, I'm currently looking at buying a glanza and would just like some people with more experience with them, to help me answe a few questions, any help would be much appreciated.

    when they are registered, is it common for them to be under a standard starlet 1.3?

    If so do you tell your insurance company the fact that it's not and it has a turbo etc?

    Also did they make many red glanzas?

    Any help would be much appreciated
