  1. Hi guys, once again I'm having more problems with my glanza😡. Really starting to get fed up with it. Basically all of a sudden my fag lighter, radio, clocks and rear lights have stopped working and all the fuses are okay. I got a multi meter up to the back of my radio, I've got a good earth and a switched live but no constant live. Can anyone tell me where to look.

    Thanks

  2. Hi guys,

I've just bought a brand new 2nd hand abs removal kit. It didn't come with any instructions or anything. I didn't wanna start removing pipes and stuff without knowing what are the right pipes to remove. Does anyone have a guide or can point me in the right direction with a few pictures.

    Thanks in advance

  3. Hi guys. once again, the minute I get my car fixed another problem decides to jump out.

I took my alternator off to change the belt and sort out a small oil leak from the dipstick tube. I replaced it all fine started the car up and it was working all fine so I turned it off and went to lock it and my fob didn't lock it so I manually locked it.

A few hours later I got my delivery for a turbo to manifold gasket. so I decided to take my turbo setup off to change the gasket. I changed that all fine. once I changed that I went to start my car and it wasn't cranking over. when I put my keys in the barrel it was beeping at me like it normally does and the light to say a door was open came on. so I then turn the ignition on and obsoletely nothing. I get no lights on the dash what so ever its like the car is still immobilized or something. when i press the buttons on my fob a little blue light signals that I'm pressing it so the batterys not dead on my fob and i tried connecting a jump pack to my battery and still exactly the same thing was happening. I'm soo confused why this is happening.#

any help would be much appreciated

really starting to get fed up with this now.

  4. Hi guys,

Basically I just need a little bit of help regarding where the gearbox and engine earths should be. When I bought my glanza it had a earth going from the O/S engine mount to the strut top and I know for a fact that is in the wrong place but I don’t know where it should be. Where should the gearbox earth be bolted to as well as I know my one is also in the wrong place.

I will be relocating the fuse box in the next few weeks so if anyone has any info on where they hid there earths I would really appreciate it

    Thanks in advance

  5. As it says in the titles guys, I'm in need of a bit of help. is anyone able to tell me the locations of the earth wires as I'm pretty sure mine are in the wrong place when I bought it. my cars got one going from the o/s engine mount to the strut top. any help will be much appresiated

  6. Cars all sorted now and driving amazing!

Took it for a few test drives and already had some neighbours trying to stop me halfway down the road

to complain about the noise. I wasn’t even giving it some lol.

Anyway back to the car, within no time at all I had the gearbox out for painting as it was looking old and mankey as well as them horrible blue mounts as well so I painted the lot.

Does anyone have any links for new bolts as it would just top it off?

  7. As it says in the title I need a bit of help with my wiring as its a mess.

I want to wire tuck/tidy up my engine bay but firstly I need to start with the headlights as it looks a absolute mess. I've got a few pictures and need to know what's what and what I can get rid of. There is one picture that's nothing to do with electrics but what's the point in making a whole new thread for 1 picture. Also, I know what to do about moving the fuse box i.e tape up and number all the wires, move the fuse box to desired location and extend the wires. where are people running there wires through?.

Perks of having a car the previous owner didn't look after right? lol

Thanks to anyone who helps I really appreciate it

    O/S headlight wires/boxes?

  8. Could be a shot in the dark. ABS fault so someone has wired the abs light to go out with the oil pressure. This way on start up they come on and off to pass MOT.

not sure how the oil pressure switch works, but if the light comes on when its grounded this may be why it goes off when removed from stat housing. Do you have a spade connector on the oil pressure sensor?

The ABS and oil light stay on the whole time the car is running aswell. I had a look at the oil pressure sensor and it has no spade connector and has nothing connected to it but ive found a stray wire coming from the same place as the spade connector. ive got some pictures to show you what I mean.

  9. UPDATE

Temporally wired up the coolant temperature sensor and now my gauge is working aswell as a steady idle, just need the connector to do the job properly but atleast its working.

I also done a diagnostics check for the eml light and it came up with

Code 22 : Open or short circuit to coolant temperature sensor, ive cleared that one

Code 41: Throttle position sensor signal, not too sure what that really means

Code 52: Knock sensor signal, open or short circuit, that must be where that stray wire is from.

I tried to do an abs diagnostics check and it wouldn't work, does anyone have a tutorial for this. its a bit odd as my abs and oil pressure light both go out once I disconnect a spade connector on the thermostat housing.

  10. okay mate ill have a look and see what's happening.

  11. Your engine light would be on it located on the back of the block can't remember exactly where but google images will help. But then again the wire could b anything joys of getting a car not looked after by the old owner

The engine management light has recently come on so It might be that, Is there any way of finding out the error codes and yeah the joys. I bought the car knowing there was a few niggly bits that need doing, but the more I work on it the more bodges I'm uncovering. I'm tempted to take the engine out, sort it out properly then whack it back in. might be a job for the winter
