  1. Cheers both, there's always more to do just not enough time or $$$. I've got a lot of respect for some of the build threads on here.

Buckles were about £14 each including delivery. Did have to message their eBay store direct though to arrange a specific listing and stock was low at the time so get in there!

  2. A quick update on the Glanza...

The original seat belt buckles were on the way out, so after some searching, I managed to find replacement parts on Toyota's eBay store. I think it's probably the third time I've had the seats out the car so the neighbours must be wondering what's going on.

I also picked up an HKB boss kit so a steering wheel is next on the shopping list. Other jobs have been fixing the parcel shelf rattle with strips of foam draught excluder which worked a treat.

The main headlight bulbs could probably do with replacing, are there any bulbs folks would recommend?

  3. Afternoon Simon,

A couple of newbie questions you might be able to help with.

    • What’s a normal detailing routine?
At the moment, having clayed any car after I’ve bought it, I polish (a basic SRP) and then wax (Collinite 845) twice a year. In between this I just wash as and when. Can / should I polish and/or wax it again?

    • What can I do to improve my paintwork?
I currently can’t afford to spend hundreds of pounds on a detailer’s services (as much as I’d really like to). What can I do to improve my paintwork beyond a basic polish and wax by hand?

    Thanks for your help!
  4. Quick question all.

I'm after seat belt buckles (the bit you insert the latch into) for driver and passenger seats on a 1996 Glanza.

A breaker on eBay is asking whether mine have pretensioners or not. I've googled, checked the forum and rummaged around in my seats but still have no idea if they do/don't.

    Can anyone help?

    Ta.

  5. Took the Glanza on a roadtrip from London to Edinburgh for a few days.

Planned a route through the Lake District hitting up some driving roads on the way. A708 from Moffat to Selkirk covered on Pistonheads is well worth a look with some tight corners, stunning scenery and open straights. Special mention for Tebay Services on the M6, if you're passing it's worth stopping.

Also spotted this Toyota on the streets of Edinburgh.
