Right so first little update. Not had much time to put towards the car but given it all the spare time I've had. First thing I did was metal pressed plates. As well as debadge the rear and dewiper it too. Also got myself some bright LED number plate bulbs. After that trying to save money I thought I'd just take things off the car instead of adding to it so away the bump strips went. Then after not spending any money for a while in the process of servicing it thought I'd give it a bit of a cold air intake (mostly for the noise) instead of just replacing the stock air filter with another paper one. That's it for now and I'll try to keep it as updated as possible but unfortunately it will be quite slow progress.

Do you think they are same as these dynamics If so what would you be willing to pay?

Got some very old alloys in the garage that want getting shut off. Can't find any name on them and lost the centre caps just wondering if anyone had an idea of what they are. 4x100 15inch

Also I was just wondering could the green wire not go to the wire behind the clocks because from reading a few other threads there is apparently a wire behind the ep91 clocks with the rev gauge signal

So in a spare the moment I thought I would buy a rev gauge to put on my starlet thinking it would be simple and I'm sure it is but I'm quite simple minded so am already confused by the instructions and what's going on. I tried looking down all the tutorials I could find but none of them have the wires I do and I'm not certain where they all need to go. That's a photo of all the wires I have and then it came with some instructions that I find very confusing and I was just wondering if some of you could just shed some light on where the wires need to go and the best place to put them Any help would be much appreciated

So after looking for a starlet for about 6 months I finally found one that was rust free. At only £300 was a bit of a bargain however there are a few issues that need sorting. First of all let's get some pictures up So this is my starlet. Its fairly clean for the age with no rust. However its definitely been places with 120,000 miles on the clock. Due to this and many unappreciative owners there are a few issues that need sorting but it runs fine and looks mint. The major issue I have is quite a loud tapping under acceleration which I'm hoping is down to the timing belt being way past it's replacement date (if you have another opinion on this please let me know as I'm no mechanic and the timing belt is all I can think of). I have quite a few plans for this little car that will all be carried out in due time. I will try to keep this as updated as possible but it will mostly be little things and quite slow progress until I finish school. But anyway onwards and upwards lets try to make this little starlet a true gem.

The manifold is pretty manky I plan on replacing it at some point anyway so I'll try that as it seems easier I'll try to have a look and if worst comes to worst I'll take it to a garage

I've just bought my first starlet after looking for a good 5 months I finally decided on one. After only a day or two of ownership I realised that when I accelerate I get a pretty strong ticking coming from the engine. I checked the oil level and that's fine so my next assumption is the timing belt as I have no idea when it was last replaced. Just wondering if I could get some opinions on this and if anyone knew what it is. It's not rod knock its much lighter than that and it's only under acceleration so when idling it doesn't do it and also when cruising at a speed it doesn't do it. Any help would be appreciated as I would love to get it sorted 🙂
