Advice Needed/New member intro - Glanza V Auto

As far as I know, the automatic box can take serious enough power 250-280 bhp, don't quote me on those figures but a guy here had a serious setup with an automatic V with no issues as far as I know. My bro did setup a 300zx automatic a few years back to handle 1000bhp, so I'll ask him what he did to it to handle the power. -
Hey Guys, still haven't found what I'm looking for, been on jdm auction watch but still nothing that fits the bill. Black 98-99 Grade 3.5-4 Glanza V, automatic, low km's, is that so much to ask for? Haha! Preferably with recaro optional extra interior, but I know that's pushing the boat a little! The search continues, I've had a few offers on my white manual, but not to bothered selling till I have my Black one..

No I just used eBay.com, there is a few decent Japanese sellers on there, I'm going Meister R's as well, have cusco's atm but they are pretty stiff for daily driving. I also have powerflex engine mounts and they are sending vibrations right through the dash, I'm on the search for TRD mounts, suppose to be less vibration from them..rare though.. I also bought TRD adjustable dampers and springs which I might refurb and test out.. I don't know what this is ha, I still want a black automatic but I also can't wait ha, so I'm getting mine to the spec I want and then may convert it all over to a bl -

Hey Shyam, thanks, to be honest I'm not sure, I bought it from a guy in Japan, it was the only one I could find in mint condition with no lacquer peeling or cracks..then I bought the Ferrari horn button separately, it's actually a genuine Ferrari part, it was cheaper than a Nardi horn button ha! The wheel makes driving the car feel completely different and I love it!! Highly recommend a Nardi! I like the retro style, not everyone's cuppa tea though! -

The right indicator isn't cancelling as quick as I would like so going to give it a look over soon enough. -

Hey all, quick update on my car, I'm keeping her, decided the manual with lsd will do me fine. May go auto in the future but for now I'm good. Also fitted my Nardi steering and HKB 3 boss kit specifically for an ep91 the other day, will post photos soon. -

Looking good dude! Is that an optional extra gold badge I see on the boot? -
Hey Mart, Yeah the quotes are from JDM auction watch, low mileage grade 4 all the way, you read my mind ha! The TRD dampers are in ex condition, they were sprayed in wax oil and left on a shelf for years, unfortunately the rubber dust covers have perished a bit, but with a good cleaning and new wax oil done they should be good.. I'm not sure if I can put new oil in them or what is necessary to service them..

Hey Mart, doing well, how about yourself? That is good news, Glanza all the way!! I'm sure you'll get something nice! I got in touch with an importer over here in Ireland to see my price options for importing one in from Japan. Also got a quote on a Skyline R30 RS Turbo, but it was a bit out of my range..still waiting on prices for a Glanza My TRD adjustable dampers came in the post the other day, going to start a topic on them as I am wondering can they be refurbed or do they need to be refurbed..

Hey, no didn't sort one yet, I won't be happy until I get a black auto V, I'd like to see a few photos of your one though, but I'm really after a black one! Matt.

Hey Anthony, thanks yeah I have two sets of alloys for it, ones on it now are wedsport' tc05's, awesome wheels! No luck with an auto just yet, I came out of the house the other day and thought about keeping the manual, so I'm still in two minds about selling her! Im also looking at Nissan skyline r30 rs turbo, so fun times ahead either way -

Thanks people, funny onion I wasn't sure about the headrests too, but I'm thinking of dying the yellow mesh maybe to a dark colour, I want to try and blend them with the colour of the seats, will update the finished results

Mart, the wheels are Wedsport's Tc05's, I love them! I'd like to find a 5th one as spare! I can dream ha! I went with them so I could get good quality chunky tyres to keep things a bit more comfortable, the cusco coilovers are hard work at times! -

Thanks, yeah I agree the standard bodykit is tasteful, I just need the rear oem lip for the bumper and it's complete! For some odd reason they don't seem to add that part on a lot of Glanza's! That is my idea with this car, any mods must be either tasteful or subtle. Same with the Blow off valve, I got it especially from Japan because it comes with the dedicated intercooler pipe it's attached to, just keeps everything neat and tidy. I actually changed the BOV from an Apexi to a Greddy type S, sounds better and still looks neat. I don't like the front mount intercoolers, but I would like to -

Thanks Shyam! Its all about the inspiration!! Yes will pop a few more photos up, the rear lower spoiler came on this car, as far as I know they are handy enough to find, they go by the name 'ducktail spoiler' and cost roughly around 80-120 depending on condition etc.. The headrest idea just popped into my head because I wanted a full Recaro fishnet interior but couldn't find one, so I got creative and made my own! The suzuki headrests fit straight in (with a tiny bit of spray oil). -

Yes they are from a Suzuki Ignis sport, thanks! yes the are 14's and very very light! -
Still need to reupholster the headrests in the Glanza material, but I can't do that myself so will have to send it out to my reupholster guy.
