according to bbc weather it says were gonna get light rain however we all know how shite bbc are at predicting the weather -
dam that engine looks sweet, that would of made our jamun fast as lol, and as we got our engine out because it broke i may need to be pursuading people to make it like that although dont think the regs would allow it lol stripped the engine down this morning and as we turned it over to drain the rest of the oil out a nice m6 bolt fell out in two parts (head and thread) along with some very broken cam follwers ill get the pics up later

haha yeh unfortuantly it belongs to the college so it stays there hopefully next year they will find a driver for it and it will go racing

hey guys, went up to mintex proving grounds today near leeds to test my uni project that we built pretty much from scratch, got it at begging of the year and it was just chassis with engine in. and it was a big day for us as the car hasnt been out or even run since about 2001/2002. so thought i would share this moment with you all and show you some pics. things were going well up until the engine started runnning like a bag of shit, after bringing it in and inspecting the engine turns out one of the cam followers has either broke or dropped out so packed up n went home to fix it here are

yeh doesnt sound rright to me, when i had mine i was able to do 100miles to a tenner in fuel at about 90p per litre, not sure what that works out to but im pretty sure its better than 27mpg. did you take it to a fuel injection specialist? if not i would definatly recommend that, and check the timing is right too

agreed with the donation thing, just have people going round with buckets asking for a donation and make sure it has sumthing on the bucket sayin its for the japan disaster, then if someone does come over jsut say we are fundrasing. tbh not much they can do then really as long as everyone behaves and doesnt dick about -
sorry my bad miss read what you were saying, yes power steering is on one belt and alternator is on the other, but its the pulley that they both go too that has broken the rubber seal has broken on the larger rear pulley ( the one the alternator goes tooo)
-
the pump and alternator are on seperate belts on mine :S

-
ye, went to local scrappers today and they had none, hardly even had any toyotas in, was very dissapointed, theres a llightweight one on ebay atm for £75, so gonna ask around first if nothin comes think im gonna have to get that, atleast itll be nicen shiny if i do ;)
-
thats sounds spot on enzo, it feels as tho there is a rubber bush , the pulley has come completely loose of this bush. im trying to find a replacement asap.
-
trust me that bolt isnt loose i was pullling and jumping on it all day today trying to get it off and it wasnt budging ill try get a video or sumthin of it doing it and let u see
-
hey guys, after much more investigation, ive found out its nothin to do with the alternator or bearing, the pulley itself has broken off the mount and is just wobbling around on it. any body else had this problem at all?
-
