Hello all, I'll be putting my glanza back together at some point this month and am wanting to put a new clutch in. It's running 0.8 bar on a standard CT9 with a front mount (usual bits) I imagine it's running 150-160BHP? Will I get away with putting a standard OEM clutch in? I believe the clutch that it's been running on is standard it's just a little too high now but it never slipped. Thanks Will.

Blimey, I had done about 2000 miles and just one afternoon it started to develop a tappy sound then about 100 miles later it was alot louder. That's when i parked it up.

The car was mapped by a guy that I have had trouble with before, he said he was struggling getting the timing right when he gave it back to me but said it was okay. Since then I have learnt more and can do it myself and found out he's not as good as he says, I took my glanza there before it had the forged engine as the head gasket blew, he sorted it but two days later it blew again! Opened up the engine and it turned out that he put the all ready used oem headbolts back in with an Athena gasket. Definitely won't go to him again, will do things myself now.

Turned out to be the alternator belt, it was very worn. Thanks all for your help!

Could it be due to the alternator belt slipping?

Yea, not sure where to look now... might go over the wiring and earths

I checked with multimeter and it was reading 11.5V I think it's something between the alternator and the battery but I just don't know what

Replaced the alternator*

Plugged the multimeter on when the car is running with a strong battery and it's only reading 11.5V. I prepared the alternator the other week.

I changed the battery but the problem hasn't gone... not sure where to look now?

Hello all, I have completed an engine swap on my glanza... it had been running fine then clumsy me dropped a socket on the positive battery stud. It sparked and the car spluttered. The car drove after that then it died. It starts with jump leads attached and will run unless they are on. I have changed the alternator and also the alternator fuse but still no joy... if someone could leave me some advice it's be great. Thanks Will.

The thickness of the shims were 2.50mm and there was no clearence so I'll have to go thinner?

So had a good look today, swapped some shims about etc. The other shims I had also provided no clearence, the sound changed with different shims I believe this is where the sound is coming from. Does anyone know of a good place I could find some shims for sale?
