  1. Hey guys, went and looked at a glanza last night...after a long story cut short the guy stabbed me in the back and sold it to someone else...

Am thinking about this early bird?

    Linky Linky

Is it a member on here at all???

What do you guys think? I was really impressed with the Glanza, which had printouts for 170bhp and as you can imagine, went very well!

Any idea's what this would be kicking out? also bit of a wary person in terms of mileage, 100k...?

  2. lol yeah, she liked the luxury of the 172.... wouldnt of heard the end of it. she didnt seem to keen on the dump valve noise and said it was daft and would get annoying. Needless to say, we argued all the way home lol.

Yeah, those dodgy 16v badges are a standard part for some reason lol. will get round to taking them off at some point.

  3. yeah. I was looking more into catcams.

Yeah, there a supplier on a forum i use. Bilstein shocks with Eibach or Falkneur (spelling) springs.

Im not a big fan of bodies on the saxo engine for some reason, id rather boost it. but doubt that would happen.

Sparky - I wish i did mate, i wanted one many months ago but chose a 172 due to the missus liking it more. Damn!

  4. thanks guys.

yeah I said to my self when I got a driving license id never own one....arghh

    future mods:

    Predator ECU

    Catcams/newman ph3's Cams

    bilstein suspension setup

    strip out the car

    front brace

get the weight down on what already is a light car, with the cams and ecu, should see 155-160bhp.

  5. as like most of you will know, the Saxo is a famous chav machine.

im pretty sure mine doesnt come into that group. although its no where near finished yet. here some piccys.

    brief Spec:

Supersprint Race system (de cats the car also)

    Raceland 4-2-1 SS manifold

Green Panel filter with custom 73mm CAF

    Peugeot 206 GTI brake setup

    X-sport uprated gear linkages

I could yet again be interested in a starlet :p

  6. sorry guys, I didnt mean to bring up a debate or anything.?!?!

interesting to find out some opinions/facts though.

And Ryno...tell me about it mate! It wasnt the mintest starlet in the world either...to say im abit miffed is an understatment!

still, although the Glanza 'may not' be as good in most aspects as the 172, I still love em.

  7. Churcham garage in cheltenham. Brought one from there recently. Make sure you check everything. My exhaust rusted through and fell off a week after getting it. Nice blokes, but make sure you check everything on the car. That car was there when i got mine, it is very nice looking. I thought it had more miles than that though, thought it was nearer 100k???

well the deal has fallen through....looks like one of the lads there offered me 'too much' for my car in P/x...

they now want £2000 and my 172 for that starlet.... made me laugh and put the phone down pretty quickly tbh.

    oh well :p

  8. well, i've been flirting with the idea of getting a glanza for a while...although I bought a clio 172 instead.

I'm looking into doing a deal with this...

    76k

    Tein adjustable suspension

    blitz dumpvalve

big bore exhaust (doesnt say what brand)

    FMIC..

how do you guys feel this would compared to my clio 172?

and what do you think of this glanza?

    Daz

  9. Hey, im Daz from somerset.

Im currently in the market for a Starlet Glanza and have a budget of around £5k...

A few people have highlighted that with £5k theres a whole world of motors I can look at, although ive always had a lil thing for the Starlet's.

My previous cars have been Renaults, starting with a clio 1.4RT (80bhp 8v) and my last being a clio 16v (1.8 16v 137bhp std).

hopefully once I find a Glanza I'll be a regular poster on the site.

    cheers

    Daz :D
