  2. Hey all.. Anyone know of any competant garages that will be able to directly deal with my Glanza V? I could do with a few bits and peices looking at.. Im told I'll have problems at a regular garage as its an import? Im from Bradford area and obviously the closer, the better? Cheers

  5. Hi again.. All I seem to do is come on here and ask question? I apologise for that, Im just very .. well **** when it comes to anything technical with cars.. Quick question..AGAIN.. Whats the best Oil to use for the Glanza? Its going to be changed next week.. unfortunatly im on queens guard this week so ill do it next week? Cheers

  7. The exaust is blowing majorly around the manifold.. it sounds? could this be linked to it?
  8. I am not allowed a little satisfaction? Hell I go to war for this country and its people?? anyways.. other than that, Thanks all for your help!! I wont be revving as hard.. Its still continued to do it wether its cold or been running for a few hours.. It's garage bound shortly but thanks again at least now I can mention a few faults and at least (thanks to my freind paul w) I know the cause.. Although im still going to tear arse around the country.. it makes me happy, I love my glanza and I love the straight line accelaration and speed!! it never stops amazing me everytime I get into it... thanks all!!!
  9. Hey all.. Okay, Got a bit of a problem, Want to know what it is because its happened twice now.. and I dont want to be turning up at a garage and them stinging me for shit that isnt wrong.. hey, it happens! Okay so since ive bought the Glanza, At high revs sometimes (only sometimes) the engine management light comes on. Now as an absolute novice I can maybe guess saying the vacuum's being switched over probably has something to do with it? But also the exaust seems to be blowing near the manifold. maybe thats whats wrong? The light goes off after maybe 3 long minutes or so? ANYWAYS I just ignored the problem ... Last night is the first time though it has done this? I was driivng along, felt like banging it along a bypass. So i went through 1st, 2nd and then put it down in 3rd. I went to about 7000rpm and it juddered like it lost all power.. but within a second it was accelerating again no problem, The management light came on when it was fine again? I started to not rev as hard.. stopping at about 6000rpm it was fine. Okay so this morning i tried it again and this timeit juddered exactly as the engine management light went on? Its not doing it until i really hit almost redline? Does anyone have any idea what this is? I am taking it into a garage in a few weeks and would like to be a little bit knowing of what I want fixing Cheers all.. Sorry if its the wrong board? im new.. and stupid!

  11. let me apologise.. this subject has really probably been paggered already.. but since im new.. I wanted to basically "spaff" on it. Tonight I left barracks thinking, I am definatly going to take the Glanza the long way, this in my life is what has become known as High Glanza Fever, I cant ever go the quick way.. the long way is far much more fun in the thing than the quick way.. Anyways onto the point.. I drove past the local BP and just thought fuck me petrol is expensive, which is of course the truth.. but then I thought, since ive got a Glanza, maybe I should give the super expensive fuel a whirl. Ive tried BP Ultimate in my old Astra 1.8 16v Sport.. It didnt make much difference.. Tried it in my loved, absolutely gorgeous stunning Golf Mk2 GTI, And my Other Golf mk2.. Didnt do anything.. As god loves a tryer I figured I would fill the Glanza with it.. I wanted to have it near as empty as poss. Which meant driving around the glanza for even more miles than completely necessery (shame?) Anyways filled the tank completely with BP Ultimate which came to around.. pff 800 quid or something? Started the baby up and I instantly noticed the difference.. the accelaration was improved ten fold and it just seemed so much cleaner and smoother. I am absolutely agast with the results.. I thought i would just be cursing my idiot self for spending that much money for nothing? Absolutely unreal how much smoother the car runs now? almost worth the months wages? Probably will be labelled the forum dunce now... but just I thought it was interesting.. Remember, Im new.. and stupid!!
  12. wheres the best place to gain parts and all of that kind of gear? with a site like this comes to pretty good places to sort out your car.. with regards to nedding my car ... I was thinking bowt putting some 18 inch chromes blue undercar neons and putting a red sunvisor that says "motorsport" in.. wot u fink mate innniiit? breathing and cooling? do tell...
  13. I dont particularly have any plans for it.. im all new to jap cars, again i was with the german dub crowd.. On looking at a ton of peoples cars on here, and knowing about it... i do fancy a front mounted intercooler.. they look really ace.. im more looking for ideas off you guys.. and gurls its 2008 now .. what can be done? what should be done? what should i not do?
  14. Heya guys. Righto I've been skulking around these boards since xmas when I acquired a 96 Glanza Turbo. Gained it because A freind couldnt afford to run, Snapped His hand off.. Basically about me, Im an Ex VW enthusiast.. Used to make Mk2 Golfs my life.. Since then ive joined the army and have got this little toy to play with.. Mods im aware of (im stupid when things are new to me) are some Tom 16's by the looks.. Full through exaust system.. which fkn blows already... sorted next weekend.. blitz dump valve.. all of that buisness.. Hoses have been swapped over and all.. which app makes it boost through gears 1 and 2.. niiice. Anyways.. Look forwards to reading posts and well now im brave.. replying to them aswell although I wont make any sense at all.. And ill probably be asking why this has hapened etc heres the motor off the forecourt my freind bought it from.. fresh from the land of the rising sun.. obviously the paint has a lil bit of winter dust on it now.. but its nice isnt it.
