the Toyota Sprint Series held their 6th and final event of 2011 at Blyton race circuit, along with Javelin this past Sunday
track is awesome, lovely smooth tarmac and fantastic layout
I can recommend it
here is one of the laps I did
-
the marmite mirrors
but they do weigh a LOT less than the originals, and cost next to nothing of ebay
brief spec:
burwash forged engine
ihi vf23 turbo
motec standalone ecu mapped by fensports
dc coilovers
willwood brakes
a few trick suspension mods
and a load of other shit i forget about
-
the cars good
but the driver's crap
toyobaz over there and bazzatoy over here
that is my ep82, was attending a track day at woodbridge today
well spotted !
were you staying at the hotel ?
-
needs to be flouro lined
for fuel or oil
otherwise it seeps through !
-
put washers in between the axle and the shocks ??
that wont achieve anything !
no adjustment is possible
-
-
well done Darren
a bit more footage from inside my car

Has any one else been affected buy this Icelandic volcanic ash!?
All flights up to now have been cancelled and im supposed to be flying to Vegas on Wednesday! and its not looking good im so frustrated! because I have not got a dead certain answer if im going or not im just sitting in limbo! nobody knows when British air space will be open!
i am due to fly out to cyprus next weekend, so hoping things will be ok soon
i can understand your frustration !

A hammer or a brick would work quite well.
not that well !
you will spend hours picking up bits of glass
and risk lots of cuts
door glass is easily done by removing door panels and undoing a few screws
the rear screen needs work as its bonded in
I found using a piece of bicycle brake wire gently see saw'd through the bonding worked, needs 2 people, 1 inside and 1 outside
-
yep another vote for inline
-
mintex dont do them !
dave burwash has some ferodos pads for them
-
yellowstuff
or willwoods
not much more choice !
-
i was told diesel oil is no good for a petrol engine as it contains detergents which petrol engines dont like
-
hi
i will take a pair as soon as they are available
-
you need to visit a proper geometry centre
any adjustments must be made within very fine tolerances, your eyes cannot do the job
get it set up correctly and it will make a world of difference
-
Nope, thats the way its mounted in the car normally dude, inlet mani at the back, exhaust mani on the front. It'll be fine
of course it bloody is !!!
stupid me
-
hi Jason
might be a strange observation but........
if the engine stays the way it is, wont it drive backwards ?
-

There's also a 2JZGE version or was that on the IS300?
1GFE is a joke.
TSP why not look at a GT or Glanza with the optional extras? You could buy a good one on your budget.
2jzge was indeed the is300, good engine but only mated to an auto box in rhd
-
IS200 has the 2.0 1gfe engine producing 155bhp
turbo's are pretty rare and only about three exist in this country, all of them have cost their owners 10's of thousands of pounds
the engines are pretty weak in standard form and 240 bhp is about all they will take, before the conrods take a quick exit
superchargers are more common, bringing the bhp up to around 210, look to pay about £2000 for a charger as they are now not made and getting very sought after
however the Altezza imported from japland comes with the 3sge and has 220 bhp as standard, turbo's are available but limited power unless the engine is forged
not the quickest cars 0-60 in about 9 secs, top speed 140mph
but they are great motorway cruisers and will sit doing 120 all day if you want
quiet, very well equipped cars, and super reliable
pop over to the lexus owners club and find out all you need to know
i have a supercharged IS200 myself
-
its not the size of the wire !
bigger would be better, allowing more current with less resistance
-
cheers guys
yes abbot lives 5min away from me
must try and take him out for a drive soon, repay him for the fantastic drive in his monster
cant wait for the series to start next year, few additions should help beat a few more of the competition
lsd and polybushes are due to go in
