  1. Hi just a quick update,

Had these brakes fitted for almost three months now about 1500 miles of wear, the stopping performance is unbelievable! had no problems with them and fitment was easy.

These are well worth the money if your looking at getting a big brake upgrade!

    Phil.

  2. Will do!

I've just been updating photos (including my post above) to show the production brackets and which way to fit them... B)

Phil, get some photos of the car up old chap - it looked pretty cool to me and it's not like you just bought it now is it!

I will do got a couple of days off now, so will get some pics of the car. Cheers no taken a while to get her how she is well actually over 7 years

  3. Hi all,

After talking to Keri at WMS I decided on a set of his 275x22mm brake kits. When I got the calipers I couldn't believe the lack of weight to them.

the quality was fantastic and the price was unbelievable.

Once I had got the rest of the kit I knew I had made the right choice and couldn't wait to fit them. Thinking it would be a bit of a challenge to fit them I was proved wrong.

I decided to take the brake dust cover off instead of trimming. IMG00192.jpg

Next I fitted the brake hose

    Then the caliper bracket

    Next was the discs

Now for the caplipers and ebc red stuff pads

After a while back on the car lift and a few bottles on rbf600 brake fluid recommend by alot of circuit racers and the wheels back on the outcome was

Thanks to Keri at WMS for all the support, communication and the production of this kit!

  4. Hi to all,

I have now fitted my 275x22mm kit. Pictures will be posted as soon as I get them of my phone.

The kit was easliy fitted and easily bleed, just bedding them in at the moment. ^_^

the whole kit is great value and would definatly recommend them.

will update on the stopping when I have bedded them in but already can't see any problems in stopping.

    Philip.

  5. Hi Phil, same here - cool car as well! Glad you like the WMS goodies...

    PS - Don't worry, I didn't hear it stall when you left...and even if I did I wouldn't tell anyone! :(

Sounds like you've got a beast of a clutch on it?

    Hi,

Yeah thats the only problem when trying to reverse up the hill with a twin plate race clutch :D

    Regards,

    Phil

  6. I've never heard of anything like that! Where did you get it from?

No problem chap - let me know when you're back on track...

Well I brought a race spec cover, thought at first the mechanic had over tightened it but when I had a chat to the mechanic and we took the cover off it looks like a flaw in the cover so no ones to blame, as no one could have seen it or done anything about it.

I will let you know as soon as I am back on track.

    Phil

  7. No problem, hope they can help you! Best ring them, looks like their email is down.

As for payment, bank transfer is ideal, then PayPal, then cash on collection in your case as you're sort-of just down the road...

    Hi Keri,

Going to have to give it a miss this time but i will be ordering from you in the not to distant future "you can be sure of that".

Just took rocker cover off this evening and it worse that expected, the cover had actually shattered underneath and bits are in the cylinder head.

I'm gutted was hoping to get better brakes but looks like i'll be getting cheap ones to last me until I save up again and get these from you.

    best regards,

    be speaking to you soon

    Phil.

  8. Bummer about the crack - I would get in touch with these guys in Hastings, I bet they can weld/smooth it like it never happened.. www.hastingsmotorsheetmetalworks.com ...they make sports car bodies from scratch, hammers and aluminium sheet type skills! Also do alloy wheel repairs including welding up missing chunks.

I'm just working out a price for the 277x25 beta kit and will be able to deliver one in about a week (as you're local and desperately lacking brake pads?)? Let me know...

In fact as a general heads-up, I will take orders now for the 277x25 beta kit as I have three in total available in the same "week-ish" timescale. After that I'll be out of the brackets I've been re-machining into "beta" brackets, so we'll just need the proper batch to arrive.

Details to be updated on the first post of this thread.

HIi thanks for the link will be getting in touch with them. I'll be able to let you know about the 277x25 beta kit later today. Whats the best way for payment for you?

  9. Hiya - the calipers are here (arrived yesterday), I've just got to get a batch of brackets done now which is much faster, a few weeks will see everything on the shelf if there are no glitches!

The price will be very similar for both versions though, maybe 5-10% more for the thicker disc at the outside (only because it has more machining than the 22mm one).

In the meantime I can still offer kits but with the "beta" brackets, not quite as pretty as the productions brackets will be (the ones in the photos are "beta") but the same dimensions, shall I work you out a price? Lead time on "beta" kits is about a week.

    Cheers! Keri

    Hi Keri,

If you could work out a price for the beta kit, hopefully still be able to afford a set even through my race spec rocker cover cracked!! not bothered about how pretty they are.

    Regards,

    Phil.

  10. No problem Phil - if it's really critical I might be able to lend you some OEM spec discs or pads from the "development/reference parts bin" to get you by for a few weeks! :)

I've got part worn EBC Greens (yuk) here you could borrow, not sure about discs though.

Thanks for the offer :D , should just get through the month.

  11. Sometime this month, the sooner the better! Brackets normally take about 3 weeks in total inc anodising, calipers vary a lot more but there should be some ready to go that were held back from the last batch (6 from memory).

I'll have a better idea in the next couple of days.

Brilliant, if you could let me know as soon as you find out, as my front brakes need replacing within this month.

    Phil

  12. lol, hold your horses a bit, the two Beta kits are both sold!

I need to get a batch of brackets made and re-stock the calipers, but then I'll be ready to roll again. I may be making some progress with the 275x22 discs as well, fingers crossed as the 277x25mm ones are more expensive which isn't the plan.

When do you think the next batch will be ready?
