    What a BEAUTIFUL CAR!

GLWS bud. People can see this is a genuine car, and personally, from a collectors perspective, better it left unregistered and let someone else be the owner!

If you're looking to buy one, then this looks ideal.

    Very nice!

Thanks mate, surprised with the lack of interest tbh. Not much movement on the for sale section at all.

  2. Year: 1988
    Model:Ep71
    Tax:0
    MOT:unregistered
    Mileage: 160km

Description: Sooooo, found out recently I’m going to be a father (Another man down).

So I’m for sure going to need to free up some cash. And having two of these isn’t going to be an option.

I imported this car from Japan about a year and a half ago with the intention of using it on track. But never got round to it, and to be honest it’s too rare and too good for it.

Again the car is unregistered yet, so is still basically as a fresh import. All paperwork and import documents are present. And it’s not a big deal to register it with Dvla, meaning you will be first owner on paper.

I feel I have taken this into account with the price.

By the time I had paid import duties etc, it cost around £5500.

Since then I had a full 2.5 Ss system made for it £700

Bc coilovers only done few hundred miles £500

Exedy 3 puk Padle clutch £350

    ct12 hybrid turbo £200

    hdmi fmic various hoses £200

    rrfpr £70

All the original parts are present as well incase buyer wanted to return to original.

The underside of the car is as you would expect from a recent unused import and is as new.

Bodywork is again very good for a car 30 years old, but not perfect obviously.

Interior is very good seats have to rips or wear.

Car has very very rare roof mounted air purifier as well as factory turbo timer.

Bad points: Again the cars 30 years old.

Needs steering rack gator as it has a tear.

Gives quick puff of smoke only on start up when it’s not ran for a while. I would imagine valve stem oil seals being original will be the fault. Car does not use oil however.

All in all this is a good example of a rare variant and I’ll be sad to see it go.

    Price:£6000 ono

    Contact:07921437675

The only other one of these for sale at the moment in 8k. So I really do think this is fairly priced. If it turns out that it not being registered puts potential buyers off, then I’ll maybe do it myself if I get the time. But I’d rather it just went to a good home asap.

    Thanks for reading, Ian

  3. I'm a fighter myself. Done years of boxing and kickboxing and now practice Muay Thai. I hate Mayweather and I'm a fan of Connor. However, boxing is a completely different art. First you need to understand the differences in movement. Yes Conor has unorthodox striking angles, but in mma boxing movement does not feature at all. You would never dream of bobbing under or slipping low when there is a risk of a knee getting fucked right into you. And there in lies the problem. It's Mayweather world, against a fighter who for years has trained to completely ignore boxing movement. If you look at Conor's striking, he completely over extends, it works for him because of his freakish arm length and his opponent is not in a boxing stance. But someone with Maywethers pedigree will be like a ghost. Obviously he has a punchers chance, but 40 odd better boxers have tried before and failed 👍

  4. Its not the most fun job :) If your dropping the tank out why not check out the wreckers and cut a section of floor that sits above the pump. Then cut a say 200mm dia hole in your original floor and make a 250mm dia patch from the donor floor. Few rivnuts and fixings and you wont ever have to remove the tank again.

Fuck Stu really? Thought it would be fairly simple 🙄☹️.

That's not a bad shout though! Could maybe even fab a patch from stainless

  5. So I'm having issues when starting the car, if left for a while it takes forever to crank to get started, however if you keep cranking the ignition on and of it will catch after a couple. Then it will start no problem after that. However the length you need to crank it increases on the length of time it's turned off. That's the first problem! Second problem is I bought a 255 fuel pump and was going to replace it today. However when I removed the back seat and cover plate, there only the sender unit in the tank for the fuel gauge. There is however two wires running off to the right. Would this mean I will need to drop the tank right out to gain access to it?

    Thanks Ian

  6. So I have fitted the new hybrid turbo on the 71, along with the rrfpr. It's been running fine for a week. However now when you go to start it, you need to crank it for over ten seconds, then when it starts it does so slowly as if being starved of fuel. I have checked all the connections on fuel lines are tight. Could this be a sign of the fuel pump on the way out?

    Cheers

    Ian

  7. So before I took the 71 off the road to change the turbo, the clutch started slipping. Then a few days later I lost the pedal. The pedal biting point in nearly at the floor. I have an exedy 3 puk coming this week, however I'm concerned it might be the master cylinder as well? Although this would seem pretty coincidental with the clutch slipping. Any thoughts as to what could be going on?

    Cheers

    Ian
