  1. only just got round to buying a civic rad bought the fitting kit a while ago:

Thanks for my civic rad fitting kit, the fitment was brilliant all lines 100% and know fiddling/bodging involved. Very impresed no alterations i recommend one of these to anyone with a civic rad. PERFECT.

i cant agree any more with this post, i got mine, and stuck it in the car in about half an hour, it was that easy lol and i put it off for weeks cause i thought it was going to take a few hours.... thanks a bunch jezza mate, will defz buy parts from u again if u have things i want :)

  2. He is abit simple me thinks, keeps him busy.

How the hell it passes mot like that is crazy, springs must almost me fully compressed with that weight.

    Christ!

not everywhere has to do MOT testing, in australia i think only 2 states require that kind of testing every year, where i live, the only time u get that kind of going over, is when u are selling or buying a car, or if the police suspect your car is very illegal and they put your car over the pits at the DOT, if it gets that far, you know your screwed though lol

  3. why do people always "gift" money on pay pal???? if u get jibbed after doing that, clearly u are as much to blame.... the fees are there for a reason, pay it or risk loosing your money, simple

i know its the principle of it all, but cmon, if they are saying to gift the money to me that just looks suss as hell, unless they are an actual friend or u know them as a very very well trusted seller, dont do it, simple

  4. Yea how was it when u first ever run it ? how long did you run it in for ?

the first start us was pretty much no noise, but i started it, gave it a few revs, set the boost at 20psi and took it for an absolute thrashing down the highway, 40 000km later not a single issue

  5. i would say something is a little out, i have wiseco (although custom C/R) and scat combo, and mine slaps a tiny bit for about 30 seconds to maybe a minute from dead cold start.... and mine was built fairly loosely to cope with 10 000rpm and 30+ psi

  6. holy crap, your laws are technical..... over here we have 2 grades of write offs, statutory write off (not allowed to be repaired, but can be used for anything else) and repairable writeoffs (repairable but outweighs the cost of a replacement car) other than that, its fixable and must be repaired

  7. yer i have only used turbosmart and tial, both great brands with good support, and as stated above, dont buy it if it seems too good to be true, cause it probably is... personally i would go turbosmart's new compact 40mm one over anything else, watercooling a wastegate doesnt matter imo they have worked fine until now, so why change???

  8. ahh man, its not all bad if the bad times were more than the good...

i broke up with my missus after 6 years 2gether, was the hardest thing i ever done, considering we still see each other all the time with other people... and to top it off, we both do roller sports (she is a figure skater and i play inline hockey) and we both make state and national squads and end up having to travel together alot cause comps are in the same cities around the same times and stuff

i was going through a rough patch with a huge medical issue at the time, and have regretted leaving her ever since, its been about 4 years now and we are still close, just not the same as it was though....

it will take some time to get used to being alone again, but it happens, just try not to dwell on the fact she is gone, cause it makes it sooo much harder, trust me... just go out with some mates for beers and go out and just have fun with the boys, forget about women all together for a little while because they will just cause your head more issues real easy

  9. I do like the focus rs but there are just way to many of them around my area. Id go for the evo or impreza aswell. More so the Subaru as they've now ditched the hatchback and gone back to a nice looking saloon.

nice looking saloon??? what subaru are u looking at??? the sedan wrx looks like an old kia rio

as for too many??? i thought they were a fairly limited thing??? i know they only bought like 100 to australia so i thought theu must of been someone of special edition car :/

and being the 2nd turbo focus to come to come to our country, they are pretty impressive to say the least

  10. I have always stated that ET20 is the best solution if you can find a good set. im running 16x8 ET20, the front im running 225 40's which doesnt rub at all, on the rears im running 205 40's which after professional arch rolling only rubs on hard cornering which will be solved by the addition of a rear ARB. An option would be to invest in some springs for the coilovers which hand a higher spring rating than 5F & 4R

your still better off with a rear sway bar then heavier springs in the back, heavy springs would make it a pig to drive

  11. yer i seen it a while ago and was having a laugh, they are like ohh my god!! sick ferrari and then turn away for the RX7 before the ferrari has gone hahahaha i love batmobile shape rx7's though, anyone who doesnt needs a good punch in the jaw they are a timeless shaped car, they will always look beautiful

  12. defz the toms bar if u have factory aero skirts and rear pods, or the toms ones, but if not, i say the OEM fitted bar and lip....

if u go the OEM style, let me know the price u wish to on sell the genuine toms bar for, because i want another genuine one soooo badly.... i got run off the road over a year ago and cant even source a genuine one through a toyota dealer or anything

  13. having a gutted cat is a sure fire way to fail cause of emissions, because the cat takes the bad stuff out of it, thats why when u run a car too rich with a cat converter it fouls up and falls apart, because its lifespan has been shortened by a large amount.

in australia, every car manufactured after 1986 i think it is came out with a cat converter, and if u are found driving a car with no cat in it, the fine can be up to 10 000 dollars... its so bad, but so many people run the risk, i have taken mine out of the starlet because mine runs on race gas (leaded fuel) at the track, and leaded fuel just kills cats

  14. lmao clearly never driven the right scooby or evo then! id like to see how an RS fairs against a 300bhp+ starlet too. the rs has all the looks but the lack of 4x4 in a high powered ford was a mistake, plain and simple. my bosses mate owns one and it spend 90% of its life broken, hes looking to get shot of it now as its just not a reliable car.

i was meaning a completely standard evo x or latest subaru, u cant compare a modded evo or rex against a stock focus RS, and standard the RS shits all over both of them... the evo looks nice, the rs looks better, the subaru looks like a modded kia rio so it looks horrid, and as someone else stated, they handle so well...

unless u have driven one hard u have no idea at how nice they actually go

And to add from my above comment i'd rather buy a Subaru impreza cosworth 400bhp :)

but that is a modded car,so cant really put it in the same league as the RS, and it looks like poo, i hate the new subaru's with a passion, they just dont look that nice anymore, the RS is a sporty 2 door, but still looks nice and has room for the kidlings if u wanna go shopping

  15. i gotta admit, these things werent originally even going to be sold here in australia, and then ford bought something like 100 of them here to sell, they took a while to sell them and i almost bought one, i took it for a test drive (they wouldnt let u take it for a test unless u had the money to actually buy one too) and i would say it is easily the most fun totally standard car i have ever driven, and i have driven alot of really quick sporty cars from v8 supercharged holdens (vauxall VXR8 kinda cars) all the way through to ferrari's and lambos....

it just had some odd appeal that made me want it, but by the time i chose to get it, they had sold it... was kinda bummed out that i missed out on it, but it kept 60 000 dollars in my bank account lol

im still thinking about getting a mondeo XR5 though, i think that they are sexy as hell for a family car :)
