  1. ross pistons also fit standard rods, perfectly fine way to go....the zisco guys have ran silly boost this way with a conservative rev limit....there is a 4paw that runs ross pistons and standard rods although i dont know how the engine is now as he doesnt come on much

you will always get people saying run forged rods etc etc....the way i see it is for a daily...250bhp is enough for a starlet anything more is silly and just a figure to throw around...its a perfect way to go without breaking the bank for a solid dependable engine....ukso probably has the most forged 4e engines yet they are all still sub 300 and all would still be just as reliable with half the budget...look at what they achieve abroad....puts the forged engines to shame

  2. Typical for a black coloured Jap car, laquer peel on the boot/roof is very common

Before you start it, check oil...build the oil pressure with the ignition disabled then start it with jump cables/charger on for the extra boost

Give the brakes a good few pumps as soon you start driving it to get them all clean saving any brown trouser moments later

Oh and don't come back without pics :p

  3. clifford or toad would be my choice, search around on the high end car forums esp cars from the starlets era (supra/gtrs etc) and see whats what alot of the time its already been covered

the main issue usually is, turbo timer incorporation and getting a valid installation certificate for insurance purposes

  4. carrozzeria = pioneer in japan, EPs came with loads of different variations of them some 3/2 way and 4 way in your case which just means they can play highs/mids/lows

the rattle is nearly always due to the rubber stops on the end of the parcel, put a small hard vac hose piece in them it should tighten things up

like in this link, loads of different ones

  5. You can send them, its more a case of if they will get there safely and in one piece....most post offices have a little cubby hole type of thing..meaning if you can get it through there they will accept it

price wise iirc 1kg standard parcel is £5 odd

id strongly recommend pick up, or put them in a massive box + wrap the shit out of them and send through a online place ive used parcel monkey before just bash the dimensions in and your done!

a point to note if you use a online place make sure they pick up on the date not before, i had some lads come round wanting to pick up a parcel the day before it was due to be collected...was too suspect so i told them to sling their hook....called up and they said they came a day too early...

  6. could be that the inner tie rod is bent, id start there as its not going to cost you anything....track rod off + boot off and get a straight edge and put it along the inner tie rod

IF thats ok and the steering rack bushes arent shot

    it leaves the wishbones/chassis damage

you can swap over/compare the wishbones to you N/A...if you start messing with the wishbones you open up a whole new can worms in the way of the captive nuts so id try and eliminate everything else first and ensure you have a plan B

  7. relocate the turbo timer, hide it in the back of the dash....let it do its thing you dont need to look/adjust it once its set

id mount the wideband either in a pod on top or cleanly in the vent with all the wiring at the back

shove the controller in the glove box...again you have a boost gauge? and its not like you adjust it everyday....

dont forget the more stuff you have out on display the more your car will stand out, remember reading someones e-01 display got ripped out and stolen...they clearly had no idea what it was...no use without the solenoid yet they took it anyway :unknw:
