Honestly, I'd like to import the drivetrain and suspension off a 2006 Xi 4WD Avensis and convert my tC to a 4WD boosted monster... but alas, tis too much money.

It's a 2AZ-FE. As a temporary fix until I get my pieces (manifold/exhaust housing on turbo) for coating I was thinking about getting a Turbo Blanket. They are a bit pricey, but a functional and can provide an additional clean look to the turbo. The PTP Blanket in black is what I am eye balling currently. So I got it in. It doesn't like to bend, so I took off the DP. Here is the pictorial results of that. And there ya go. I'll take it out during the day tomorrow to see what kind of temps I see in the rad. fluid.

Thanks. In most of the gauges that have been done on tCs, you see a blue/white combo like this: or one solid color like this: I wanted something different. It turned out well. The blue to left and right of the speedo make it look even better.

All modifications are on hold until further notice (i.e. buying new parts). You would too if you lost your job ;) I still have parts that need to be installed that I purchased some time ago. One of those was a Gauge & HVAC cluster LED kit. I and the North Houston Scikotics (some of them) got after it yesterday. None of us had done the HVAC before so it took quite a while to double-and-triple check/test that all the resistors and LEDs were done correctly and for me to finally decide what I wanted to do with the colors. I'm mostly satisfied with how it turned out. I need to de-paint the needles completely and leave them clear, and maybe change the blinkers to white... but that's about it. Otherwise, I'm satisfied with how it turned out. Take a look:

I had it dyno'd stock at 140whp/150ftlb atw. That's the Turbonetics T3/T4 50 trim .48 a/r (watercooled) thats going on the 2AZ-FE. I got directed to this fine little corner of the Intraweb by a member here. I use to own a 4EFTE (out of a 1991 Starlet GT) powered 1996 Toyota Tercel. After wrecking it because I did it assbackwards and upgraded the power before the brakes/suspension, I bought a (Aug, 2005) a 2006 Toyota Scion tC. I'll start a build thread on it... I do always I could have imported a Starlet or Glanza (or S15) to the States!!
