  1. I posted the pictures of that twin engine car on here. I got my first starlet over ten years ago I know the scene and some "high spec" cars they sent over here were modified would shit them selves a couple of weeks into ownership my own including from hatchet jobs mod which were mind boggling. They seemed to loose a lot bhp on th boat over too haha.

Yea there was a couple of stand out cars over the years but look outside Japan of the caliber of cars been built Sachas car the Maltese lads in Zisco all the cars that have been built in Ireland and the U.K. over the last decade.I don't think much came out of Japan which I've seen anyway matches to the same standards of the top builds outside.Maybe there is some treasure who knows. I think the envelope was pushed by Starlet owners outside Japan over the last few years for sure.

  2. Imo they went to the next level outside Japan years ago some of the builds from around the world are incredible. None of them in those pictures really stand out to me. Some sweet cars yes but still meh all been done to death nothing new or innovative. Great to see there is still a scene there though.

  3. So it looks like the end is near for this and im going to break it.

I have no idea when ill move home for good again,so this is going to waste, and ive a few fellas badgering me for the engine and other bits.

Expect a massive gauging interested thread within the next few weeks.

The end of a 12 year era.

Sad times dude I still cant believe I got rid of mine but had too such a waste of a good car.Should price a container for it,it would be unreal to have it there would have done the same if the winters and fuel weren't so bad here.

  4. Of course it's the kind of thing you hone your skills with how else are you going to learn if your not a qualified mechanic. If everyone had that attitude there wouldn't be any home built projects. it's a great way to learn about how things work hands on is best. If something goes wrong at least you'll know and learn from that mistake. They are a pretty basic engine too so pretty good to start out with.

There is a great guide on YouTube a Greek dude made years ago not sure if it's still there.

  5. Hi guys just writing to let you know that its still for sale Ive been failing bigtime with this. Sorry about the late reply I will answer all of you mails asap. A few questions which Ive noticed are about daily driving it does pretty much the same mpg as stock off boost if not better but obviously on full boost it will destroy fuel at 1.7bar totally worth it though but to be fair its still cheap as its a 1.3. It would need to be raised on the coilovers too as its pretty shitty tackling speed bumps it wasn't my daily which is why its pretty much ready for the track but the dampers can make for a comfy ride if it was raised.

Another thing is the car has no NCT the Irish equivalent of the mot so its illegal to drive it here so if you are willing to take it to the u.k it will need to be transported. It has none because it expired NOT because its faulty its declared off the road for tax reasons as Im not going to pay for it because its not been used. Again apologies for the late reply I have been super busy here in Canada and there is none of my Starlet mates left where Im from to deal with it back home.
