  1. You need to have a centre ring made up (this isnt easy for everyone) for the disc as the hub carrier on the starlet is 55mm and the BMW IS QUITE larger. Doing it this way you dont need a back spacer BUT you need someone to machine that ring in the middle, which isnt easy for everyone to get done.

And you HAVE to use this centre spiggot spacer with this option, if you dont the outcomes of not using it will be far worse than if you just use larger studs and a spacer.

I guess thats the trade off.

  2. Slightly on this topic. My ABS light goes on when i turn my headlights on??

ABS works fine in normal driver conditions, done a hard brake test and car feel the pulse. Its just when i switch the lights on it comes on and stays on.... any ideas?? Stays on even after i turn the lights off...

It started when the car wasnt used over a couple of days and there was an epic rainstorm...

    Cheers

  3. I have a silent power system and its way quiet- i think the resonator/middle box is over kill. Once ive destroyed it from speed humps ill replace it with a straight through stainless item, hopefully wont be to much louder but clearance will be better.

Off topic but what BOV do you have on your V DavidAshton??

  4. Hey All,

Im at a bit of a dilemna at the moment.

I have performed a 1998 glanza conversion into my EP91 non turbo car. Everything has been changed over and everything has been used from the donar half cut.

My problem is that when i went to get my Air con system regassed. Firstly when turning the AC on the cars revs raises (as its suppose to) and you can here the compressor kicking in and staring and then once it starts it stops and the AC light on the dash starts flashing!!!

Any help would be great, im hoping someone in the UK has some idea as to why.....as the weather here in Australia is pretty hot at the momemt, yesterday was 40c....

    Cheers

    Paul

  5. Hey All!!!

Well i need some help...firstly im undertaking a 98 glanza turbo conversion into my econbox 1997 econobox starlet. And i have come to a bit of a problem in regards to the second rubber hose coming of the brake booster switch thingy...the first one goes to the inlet manifold. The one im having problems is the second one is bolted to the firewall and through to the cabin. Just behind the brake pedal....

My question is where does it go or what is it connected to...IM STUMPED!!!???

Here is a piccie of what im talking about:

    Cheers in advance!!

  6. The runners on that mani are far tooooo short. Good for a all out drag car, but not for a streeter. Something around the 3/4 length mark of the original runners would give you a better balance between top end and bottom end.

Obviously a larger plenum would go along aswell.

Im hoping to have a prototype inlet manifold done in the next couple of months for a friends glanza, will post up pics and results from it.

    :o

  7. There is a ring gear/teeth on the inside of the disc that the ABS sensor picks up.

A non ABS disc will not have it, i believe you can knock the ring gear off and put it on the non abs disc, but dont hold me to this!!! better off getting the ABS ones in the first place....
