Bloody cusco, its going to take 3-4 weeks to get the LSD parts for my MZ, but i need to get the engine back into the car to run it back in meanwhile my gearbox is in bits in a specialist. Dont suppose anyone has a manual gearbox they could lend me to run my engine back in please?

Well as some of you may know i bought my 3rd glanza last summer (there is a thread on TGTT about it) Anyway cutting a long story short, i had a boo boo with the engine before xmas so sent it off to be rebuilt.

It came back this week, as did my interior, so here are a few shots to update my progress

The ST185 is heavier and has less power then the 205, around 200bhp so from a rolling start it would be fairly even against one of them.

An ST205 will destroy a Starlet in every aspect.

If the driver is any good you wouldn't get nowhere near one from a standing start, you would have to be packing some power to stay with one down the 1/4 mile.

This is true, my ST205 pulled straight past my old EP82 which was running 1bar boost (was rude not to test it out lol).

Well i stand corrected, all is not well she emptied her oil this morning and has seized solid. Not good.

She was ish, wanted to check on an oil leak, found its weeping from between the head and block, so need to tighten the head bolts, checked the valve clearences too, and 4 need different shims. One of the cylinders had 2 tight valves so thats prob why she aint right. should be running by weekend but need to put some local miles on her before i go too far.

Thats because your not driving it hard enough haha lol. An LSD wont really cure understeer.

It will, i have one in my new one, and after driving back to back LSD and NON LSD i can say understeer has been greatly reduced. They dont cure it completely as that comes down to the way the car transfers weight during cornering, but well worth fitting (apart from the horrible clunking noise around tesco car park lol)

Still waiting for my head gasket to arrive from the mother land so am hoping to be attending lol.
