  3. Ah man thats well bad, you must be gutted! Hopefully you will find another car you will be happy with. £ 2000 on a GT in the first place is a very steep insurace quote. Not rubbing it in or anything but i only pay £650 TPFT with all mods included, thats with adrien flux Am 21 with 3years NCB and only been driving for 3 years.
  4. Hi mate nah didint get the edfc, will have to adjust them the old fashioned way If you could email me a copy of the fitting manual from tein that would be really great, if you still have it.
  5. Next will probably be some good tyres and uprated set of discs and pads with some braided hoses. then will concentrate on the engine after that. Yeah Atleast i know everythings going to be in working order and not leaking or bent!
  6. Wow 8 months, thats a long time!! But like you say it does pay off in the end. When My Rallye Got written off, i was driving a 1.1l fiesta for near on a year so have saved some money, now ive got the starlet, i just wanna get modding and spending money on it ASAP
  7. Yeah Did buy em brand new, but never mind hey!! costing me £800 with vat and delivery included from camskill. Was gonna wait and get some used ones but im too inpatient for my own good sometimes! Just cant wait to get them, then fit them.
  8. Hi Guys Just ordered some Tein Suspension Super Street Damper Kit + Pillowball Uppermounts This should sort out the handling! Will get some pics up when i get them fitted. Next, uprated discs + pads. Also Whats the optimum level i should lower it by to get a good compramise between looks and handling, am running 14s. Cheers Nick
  9. Hi mate welocme, pics of the car look very clean .
  10. Nice Glanza there mate, the engine bay looks really tidy.
  11. Hi mate welcome to the club, sounds like you picked up a nice GT there.
  12. If Koni's are a bitch to fit and not that good a shock, what would you guys recomend getting bearing in mind ive only really got about 400 - 500 pounds to spend. or is it just worth saving for a while and getting some high end coilovers, like the Tein ones. cheers Nick
  13. Cheers ecksjay , didnt realise that the sus was interchangable between the models. Thanks again Nick
  14. Have just been looking around on various websites for some koni's but cant find any listed for starlet gt turbo EP82. think i may have to ring koni direct. unless anybody know any websites where they are listed for sale.
  15. Unlucky mate very sorry to hear, never nice when you crash a car, must feel worse having your mate crash it because its out of your control, if you know what i mean looked well nice aswell !
  16. Hi guys thanks for the input, will probably get some koni's then. Didnt know that the ones on camskill were just standard replacements.
  17. Nice 1 cant wait to see it when its finished!
  18. Cool what plans you got for the car?
  19. Hi guys Having recently purchased my Starlet turbo im now looking into improving the handling. Was just looking at the KYB dampers on camskill website and am quite interesed in them, was just wondering if anyone rated these dampers or had any bad experiences with them. cant really afford coilovers so was looking at going down this route with some Tein springs. Thanks Nick
  20. Cool Pics! Love the Colt and the white R34.
  21. Yeah Im gonna give the engine bay a good clean this weekend, Have Just cleaned the car otside and inside, its looking quite clean now! Does anyone Know how often the cambelt must be changed? and whats the best oil to use? Thanks Nick
  22. Was Just looking at The D2's on Ebay just, like you say they are alot cheaper then other makes of colovers! If there not bad quality then i may get a set of these, as cant really afford alot more £600. Also if my Speedo reads in Km/h does that mean its restricted? ive seen a few de-restrictors for sale which connect to the speedo cable, but was wondering if you could get the same clocks but ones that have the speed in MPH?
  23. Cheers for the warm welcome guys. I think ill just be refurbishing the wheels that are on there and just getting some good tyres. with the window, it seems to be the regulator that is at fault, so will replace that in the near future. What make coilovers work best with the starlets? I think the GAB stickers are just for show, sus on the car looks standard. Am gonna remove the stickers from the side when i get a chance.
  24. Cheers Mate Yeah The handling isnt as good as the pug was, but i reckon with some uprated sus and tyres it shouldnt be too bad Straight line speed is awesome! Have Wanted a Starlet for ages, its only now that i can really afford the insurance.
