thanks for the kind words guys. i was quite taken aback by his offer, i even went and checked with my mum that they were sure they wanted to do it. so, the general running plan is: Immediatley after crimbo - fit drivers harness (and piss off skiin) End of Feb/start of march - get dent & front bumper sorted, along with ARB, fender bars and wind deflectors Sometime around this time also - tires for Volks And then as for the FTE, i think that wil just be played by ear, no sense rushin it. So, lets get it on! Phil.

overkill??? go look at wot happened to Geo's old black V and tell me its overkill. we all know the bossman was lucky to walk away from that in one piece. the reason i want the full 6point is as a precautionary measure. i dont plan to wreck the nanglewagon, thats y i did the advanced licence, so that i SHOULD be less likely to do it to myself, i appreciate that i still could wreck it as much as the next guy, but the main reason is incase some TWAT t-bones me and causes an accident as bad as what happened to Geo. and especially with carol in the car, its the same reason i want a full cage, yes part of it is the bling factor, but its also "just incase". i know quite a few guys who rally, and i have to say that 'de-gloving' doesnt happen particularly often now does it?? a DVLNI MOT official advised my father to fit 6point not 4point as in an accident, u can slide out the bottom of a four point, if u think about it theres nothing to actually stop u from doin that. now, i appreciate that that may not happen particularly often either, but this is coming from anMOT inspector here, which as u all know is alot more rigourous than on the mainland. sliding out the bottom may not be particularly common, but nor can being 'de-gloved'. there is not a chance that the chances of de-gloving happening are enough to make me consider taking back the crutch strap, one set of nasty pictures can happen from anything. if that was a real danager my mechanic or spark would have mentioned it to me. HOWEVER, the pics have been enough to cause me to consider having the harness fitted by someone who has done it before so that its done RIGHT. Phil. -

bloody hell Geo mate, this sounds unreal!!! will defo be watchin your progress with this with ALOT of interest!!!!!!! also, it will be awesome to have u on the NI side of the pond for a day or two, i'm sure if u let us know a few weeks in advance some of us can book the day(s) off work to welcome u to the UKSCNI side! Phil. -
hey guys, no no the wheels are summer toys only, i would never put them near salt EVER!!!!!!!! i'll arrange tires for them in feb or so, that way they' re ready for when the salt comes off the roads here in NI! the repair job is outstanding, no one can figure out where the damage was so that says alot!! its as if it were never damaged!! couldnt be happier! @Liam, i shall try to get some pics of the Jays Garage decals up later in the week my friend, maybe tuesday nite if im free. the poor car needs such a wash its unreal, can barely see the number plate, juct cant get the time from work, so shit. However on the positive side........today at exactly 4.22pm i phoned one JayStarr77 and give him the green light to commence in earnest the hunt for the new engine. lets just say i have a very generous benefactor who wishes to see the car progress to its next stage and doesnt want my finances to restrict the purchase of a low mileage mint engine should it appear....so, in short, I LOVE MY DAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jay is commencing the necessary communications with the relevant people, including weejohn, so from here its all systems go, i already have the money for the FMIC sitting waiting, aswell as the wiring, so that just leaves the engine and any exhaust will do initially. A small round of appalause for the Father Badger!!!!!!!!! Phil.

thanks buddy! I've heard NOTHING from parcel force since the guy came to look at the wheel, so i'm footin the £50 bill myself. Phil.

Phil.

collected all my wiring from Jaystar at the TGTT RR day the other the other weekend. the car also won the Show and Shine award for which i received a rather large tub of Meguiars Cleaner Wax and pad for the car, my thanks to the 'committee' from TGTT/UKSCNI who awarded me the prize lol - Jay, Trev, Alan D, Leanne (and I think weejohn had a say too), i was extremely flattered! also got some tasty Jays Garage decals and TGTT ones too. And i collected the GReddy TT and a manual boost controller from Alan D for the pricey sum of....£5....thats wot i call bargain hunting! Alan...i love u! no other updates except that i hate this 3 Internet dongle, it hasnt worked for about a month now, for some reason its workin tonight, but no doubt tomorrow it will stop again! Phil.
