Idle solenoid can cause tapping noise. You could take it out and give it a clean. there is a tutorial on here or TGTT.com somewhere.

There is a speed input to the ECU.

So I have found a live from the alternator that is only live when the engine is running. I started  trying to use a saxo pump but have now got a mercedes A190 pump. It takes up less space and is easier to mount. The speed input makes so much sense now. The pump has its own relay with two thin wires one moves the relay and the other was a mystery until now. Thanks mate. Just Need to find a speed output now.

I am looking for a live to switch a relay to power an electric power steering pump. I need the pump to come on after the engine is running. Thanks in advance.

Thanks seen loads of these issues by doing a google search but presumed it was sorted because they are all from 2012.  

Cant get my lap top to connect to the emanage. I am using windows 10 and software runs fine but when I connect the USB it doesn't see it,  continues to indicate offline.  Is there a USB driver because I cant seem to find it? Any help would be much appreciated.

What's the widest tyre and wheel you can fit front and rear and what would after market wings offer you? 

Anyone running R15 8J ET 20 is so with what tire width and profile?
