  4. raising the rear of the bonnet is one of the newest kraz i dont know if this will hammper thing mate i cant see it being a problem as hoods have no seals or anything to stop water getting in anyway. But hay you could be the first person to try out my idea of a solonoid powerd bonnet lift. Basically i was thinking wene your cars just sat their doing nothing the bonnet can stay down but wene you start driving it and you want more cooling a solonoid under the back corners of the bonnet hooked up to a switch will lift the back of the bonnet about an inch and a half so imagine how trick that will l
  5. well guys i dont know much about the starlet and if this is possible but its possible on a nova. basically turn the subframe round so the car is rear wheel drive and then you can pritty much choose an engine for ure car as it wont matter ive driven a rear wheel drive nova witch had a lotus carlton engine in the back of the bloody thing it was absolutly leathal and lasted about 3 mounths of track use befor the crappy nova chassis gave up the ghost and started ripping welds apart. But this just goes to show you what can be done with some angle iron and a mig welder. I live in southampton too and
  6. Ok guys this is my car as it looks now sat at the import garage as you can see its totally standerd and very very clean not a mark on it . http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l55/cerbrus2/gtt4.jpg http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l55/cerbrus2/gtt3.jpg http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l55/cerbrus2/gtt2.jpg http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l55/cerbrus2/gtt1.jpg
  7. i dont know if anyone here went to modified madness show at the motor museum the outher week but their was a yellow rx7 with a cf bonnet and he had gotten it sprayed over with lacker and unfortunatly it had all cracked and looked a bit rubbishy realy. this is due to the carbon flexing under the pressure of air wene going down the motorway for example so ide say deffibatly not to spray it for that reason and the fact that carbon should be made to be seen if you want a light bonnet to spray get a fibreglass one (a boat building companey will be able to use your original bonnet as a template and
  8. ok cheers guys one thing that i do need to fined out is what my engine is as i was looking at a package on here i think it was with a turbo manifold oil and water pipes and a seperate dump pipe but dont know what the engine in mine is so dont really want to spank 700 quid on it if it wont fit. The kit is a TD04/vf series turbo it says the kit is for a 4efte engine or a 4efe engine (but it says this one need a oil filter relocator but that dont matter as i orderd one of them from driftworks with an oil cooler last night. This is what i get wene i try to put a picture up on the forum posts.
  9. lol well that was simple cheers mate
  10. ok guys i just brought a 1995 starlet gt turbo and all i know so far is its the face lift version with the funny double headlights but what i dont know is what the model number is all you guys talking about ep91 and all that it makes finding the right parts hard so can any one tell me what the model number of mine is i think its something like ep8? but i dont know and for some reason i cant upload pictures as i need a admin or some thing so if any admins who read this can sort that out for me that will make things easier
  11. ive just perchased 15"X7" compomotives for mine (wene i get it in a weeks time lol) and i was going to bye 16's till a guy on tgtt told me that 15's were the best sized wheel and went into all this power to wait ratio exceleration time stuff and all sorts of mathamaticle stuff and basically 15's are the best size to have on a starlet aparently. plus theirs loads of realy nice racey looking 15's out their. Big rims dont look right on small cars all the little corsas and novas with 17's and some even with 18's look like they are on stilts plus the handling suffers. I was a big big euro lover and
