u need to try balance were your removing it though as most of the stuff you can take out is rearwards,seats,spare wheel etcetc,i did it in my colt, took literally everything out and it was iffy entering a corner because of lack of weight at the rear. itll throw the balance of the car out and you might be lighter and quicker in a line but you might find it twitchy n worse ina corner,

im looking at buying a old mini, i had one for my old car, i wondered if this engine would fit, ive looked at the civic kits you can buy for minis, and aslo thort about the metro turbo engine but wel intrested in this one!!!

After chatin t guys on celica owners club, it turns out i may havefluked a beter upgrade than the st 185's. The guys confirmed ive st 202 twin piston calipers which were only fited.t the superstrut celica meaning the carrier is extended to 154mm and wont run on a starlet at all. But the carriers ive gt r from rhe single piston st202brakes which have the normal carrier which is 131mm, same as the starlet. The st202 twin pistons could take 180mm disc were the st185 only 160 i think. Will hav t keep u posted t c how it goes when fitting. Need to find a brake disc now!

i bought the carriers and the piston bit seperate, (long story) so the carriers are def 131mm, and its a twin piston ive got, it all bolts together nicly just wondered if its actually gna work, ive been looking at loads of parts diagrams and the carriers are def looking like mr2 ones. maybe the carriers are from the single piston mr2, would all this work then you reckon?

well after buying all the bits to do my st185 conversion, ive found out ive been had and ive got a set of mr2 twin pistons sat in my boot. not impressed at all. anyone ever tried fitting them? the carrier fixing holes are the same width-130mm so anyone see any problems with them working? chris.

right, ive been trying to finsh my brake conversion and its been a bitch finding the right pad support clip, all the sites ive found that 'used' to have the parts diagrams have been shut down but finally i came accross one that still works, and has all the diagrams. so i thort why doesnt someone put it together on a cd (im too lazy and dont have enough time but id be happy to pay a few quid for a copy) before they get rid of this site too and were left with no option but to use toyota (which in knaresborough are shite) might also be usefull to do the celicas that we sometimes swop parts with,

hi guys, keep noticing the cars not quite hitting full boost at the mo, it normally boosts to about 0.8-0.84 when foot flat to floor, but its only hitting about 0.77-0.78, just wondering if its got anything to do with the filter on the car. for some reason the filter eliment keeps melting on the outside.theres a few spots maybe a 10p in size, so with the filter having the airflow restricted could this cause the slight loss of power? dont think is a leak as when it hits full boost it holds it without it slipping back down. cheers guys.

sorted guys. chuked two nuts on the bolts i cud get to with no extenshon on the rachet and hey presto back to normal, when i get home tomorow ill sort them all proply. As ever, great help guys, thanks a million

cool. just looking at some pics on google, as you look in the bay from the font, its the bit that bolts onto the right of the turbo thats not bolted to the right hand side of the turbo, so turbo and feed should be ok, m10's, cool. the bolt dont look that wide but hey ho. ill get some nuts on for now then get some more and a gasket from toyota when i get home. cheers guys.

oil level is is fine, no noticeable oil anywer. were would i find the oil feed? never looked for it.

yeah that maybe a good reason, do i need them nuts with the little plastic bits right in the end, to lock them on? any idea what size they are? 8mm?

whilst driving to my mums yesterday, car was fine, as usual, then i noticed a wierd noise about 10miles from her house. sounded like when you get a hole in your exhaust, bit like a tractor when first setting off then back again when at high revs. got to mums checked the exhaust, all fine, checked exhaust smoke color, fine, checked turbo for smoking, nothing, then got some one to rev ther car whilst i w under bonet to try pin point the noise and.... the fucking turbo isnt boltd on!!! just the 3 bolts cumin through it with no bloody nuts on the end! its air blowing through the gap making th

Hi guys, been way to long since ive been on, hows everyone doing? the reason i havnt is i got to the grand final of the wella trend vision award. I dunno if anyone remembers the photos of my model i put up a while back. well they were for the photo heat, then i got to the final in manchester and won that heat so down to camden in september now, so ive been concentrating on that. very excited. what have i missed then??? lol.
