Well as you all may know Scutch0 (Rich) has sold his Glanza at the start of the year, and i was the very lucky guy to buy it from him. Rich is a very sound lad and was pleasure doing this deal with him. I have decided to carry on updating this thread so Rich can see that his little V is in good hand.
For a very long time looking on UKSC and TGTT i was always wanted a mint and well looked after V, so i found Rich's V and really that was what i had been looking for, and well, im soo happy with the V i had bought and the condition that it is in is great with minor repairs to the front and shell it will be immaculate, These were the pics on the advertisment:
So on Friday the 8th of January (i think it was) my dad and his mate set off down south to collect my Glanza, i really wanted to go down but was unable to get the day off work
so i just had to wait till the 5 O'clock to come around so i could see my new car. While my dad was down there he phoned me and told me how nice and how good the condition of the car was and he sent me a few pictures while i was sat at my desk wishing i could of been down there collecting her with my dad, these was the pictures i recieved:
So when i had recieved the pictures i was even more excited to get home and see the car in the flesh, When i got home and saw the car on the drive it was exactly what i was looking for and was very very pleased with the car, it has soo much potential and i knew this could turn out to be just how i want it.
The next morning i had to get out on the drive and just give her a good clean as the long motorway drive back had made the car more of a grey colour rather than the white lol. So to start with i stripped out the interior completely to give it a really good clean inside the car, not saying it wasnt clean rich just thought id clean her out as i wasnt insured and wanted to have a play lol
So after the inside of the car was immaculate (Don't have no pics sorry) i started on the outside of the car, gave her 3 washes and a good chamois, wanted to give her a good polish and wax but i ended up loosing light and time
. As i wanted this car so bad i had to borrow the money off my mum and dad and then pay them back when i had sold my corsa, so i also decided to give the corsa a wash and here are a few pictures of both my cars together:
Well after the big clean i didn't touch the V for a while as i was getting used to the drive of the car and the soo much more power over the little 1.4 corsa lol.
A few weeks later a mate of mine was de wipering his Mk2 Punto on the back and has no use for the wiper and wiper arm, so after seeing Bildo (i think thats his username) had done it to his and i thought it looked really cool and more modern, i decieded to fit the mk2 punto arm and wiper to the glanza, it looks soo much better and neat compared to the large metal one. (sorry no pics of this small mod)
Then another friend with a V was selling his Blitz Supersound B.O.V with all silicone pipes for a bargain price, i didn't really want to buy a B.O.V with such little mods to the car, but for the price it was at, i couldnt say no really
(again sorry no pics as of yet)
So after doing a bit of driving around to get used to her and the drive of the car, she once again got filthy so again i gave her another good clean and took a few pictures aswell, You can make out the punto rear wiper, and i also added what i think is a cool sticker to the back window.
I then thought id have a look around 'WheelWhores.com' and found a set of wheels ive been looking for for a while now and they guy selling them didn't know what they were so for £200 with good tyres i travelled up to Scotch Corner to collect these.........
Sparco Crimson NS2's
All the wheels are in great condition there no marks on them what so ever, although they are not the colour i wanted i thought for the price with the good tyres, i was goin to buy them, So because of the colour i had the tyres taken off and off to the powdercoaters they went
Recieved the alloys back from the powdercoaters and tbh they are the best i have ever seen, definatley recommend LSN coatings in Castleford, really happy with the alloys and the colour is perfect, now just goin to buy some new wheel nuts as the Rays dont fit because they are too wide for the nut holes on the alloy and then a full brand new set of tyres, think ill be going to the Prada Spec 2's or Uniroyal Rainsport 2's im not sure but hey here are the nice newly plastic coated wheels
Really happy with the wheels now and can't wait to get them on the car
Sooooo thats it for now, thats as far as ive gone with the two month of owning the Glanza and really happy with the progress so far
Ill keep everyone updated here in the future.
Thanks alot, Zac

I'm in town centre mate, near Kirklees College. Chaibar roundabout, is that near Mirfield? Is your mare Bower the dude that bought CMR's Red one but crashed it?
Im usually in and around the centre in my corsa, never seen you about mate. No mate the chainbar roundabout is at the bottom of the M606, its jct 26 of the M62 i think mate. Ye bower had the red glanza but a A3 ran into the back of him in batley and wrote if off, thats why he now has jamies old V, i should be getting my V on friday so we should meet up sometime mate
-
Eyup, do you have any idea of when these will be back in stock as ive got cash waiting!!!
Cheers, Zac

Ye it was jamies old one, my mate bower has it now, looks abit different now though, looks mint.
Where abouts in huddersfield you from 'idrees' not far from you, im near chainbar roundabout

Cheers lads, think its goin to be either the HDI or Wepr FMIC sound good, but abit of trimming wont harm anyone
-
Hiya Chris didn't know you was on here aswell lol, as you can see im still on the hunt for a mint glanza mate lol
Cheers for the advice mate, i was looking into the HDI ones buts the core seems to be quite fat so i thought there would be alot or trimming involved.
Also mate a little question i was going to email you on TGTT, Where did you get the Tong GT Hybrid from, How much and what did you personally think of them. When i get a Glanza thats the route im thinking of going down.
Cheers mate, Zac

Hi, Ive decieded to join this forum to find a nice Glanza V to buy. Ive seen one which i think im goin to buy, so now ive decieded to consentrate on which mods im going to buy. Ive been looking into getting a FMIC but i dont know which one to buy. I would like a kit that fits in the bumper really well with minimal trimming of the bumper and has a good route for the pipeing, i know i would maybe have to remove the A/C but that wouldnt be a problem at all. Basically just asking for a few pics of FMIC's on your Glanzas, what make they are, dimensions, if it was easy to fit and power gains, things like that.
Would be much appriciated, Zac

I'm really sorry I forgot to reply to your PM mate. I read it on the Blackberry and totally forgot about it, it wouldn't let me respond at the time.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure the core was this:
http://www.universal-intercoolers.co.uk/shop.html
The "large" one on that site. I'm pretty sure of it, I got it on eBay though and I can't find the link as it was longer than 90 days ago.
The WEPR piping did need some trimming with it mind you, nothing too complex though.
Ok mate, thanks alot for the help, just need to find a glanza first lol

Can someone tell em the dimension of the FMIC Core that has been used,or even where he bought it from, im currently looking for one and havnt really seen one fit as nice and perfect as this, Cheers
