With these and a new remap i believe a healthy result will await me at the next dyno session. i gotta take down my gearbox cause some bearings are breathing their last whiney breath in there. Gotta be safe for when time comes to attack the circuits once again. Next composite projects: Almost certainly i will be building a rear carbon hatch along with plastic window, if all goes well, and maybe a front undertray.... there's nothing left to make! i'm building a new carbon intake, better than this one:
  5. how old or how new is your engine? blowing up to a point is normal, blowing smoke is bad...
  6. i ve been a member in tgtt since 2001, and for a time been a moderator on there too. it just that... things have changed a lot. we were like , 8-10 moderators back then, and things were fun and loose, ...now it's like the third reich. i dont know guys. i ve been here on uksc only a while but i feel the atmosphere here is much more friendly and fun , while keeping things technical as well. also i like how the site is organised over here.
  7. thanks everyone for the warm welcome
  8. lol , yeah this thread is a keeper.
  9. Hello people. I'm gonna be converting my daily car, the ep81 to turbo this month, so, since it's gonna have a tom's bodykit and a Gi bonnet, i'm gonna need a big intercooler to fill up that gap. Thing is, i dont want the end tanks of the cooler to be visible, just the fins. the gap of the toms is 70cm x 17, so i'm looking for something that has a similarly sized core. know any websites or something?
  10. for a TD04L running stock injectors, a SARD fuel pressure regulator set at around 2.5-2.6 bar on idle (with vacuum hose on) is enough to run sweet. just dont go over 0.8 bar of boost. for more, you would need bigger injectors. and as always, a wideband is the most cruicial thing to have. I was running my car like that with the Greddy TD04, which is a bit more hungry than the L, with no problems.
  11. Good day everyone, been a member of tgtt for many years, and i guess i will see a lot of familiar faces in this forum as well. For those who don't know me , my name is alex, and i have a black '98 glanza and a '92 ep81 on it's way to becoming a gt. Currently out of a job for now, my projects are gonna he a bit held back, but i compensate by doing most of the work myself. cheers people!
