My EP82 hasn't been on the road properly since 2012 and this year i'm changing that! Here's how she's standing after a fresh MOT with no advisories this week and both the front and rear bumpers freshly painted. Got some new wheels on the way as these ones are horrible and I need to restore the headlights but all in all i'm loving being back on the road in her!

Hi guys, So my EP82 project is finally back on track now and i'm starting to think about the wheels i'm going to be putting on her once i've replaced the springs with Coilovers. I've seen a few options that I like but concerned about fitment / the work involved as i'm trying to get my head around it. I've seen these wheels that I like on Ebay but they're 4X100 15X8J ET0. Or if anyone has any suggestions, i'm going to be going fairly low on the coilovers but not stanced low. Please bare with me, i'm a bit of a novice when it comes to this but any help would be much appreciated

Yeah theres still some bits hes doing. Its a proffesional job as thats what he does but obv I get it for mates rates Im sure he would do other peoples if you want me to ask him? He said it was a pain in the arse tho but he was happy once it was done! Just gotta put bits back on now without anything getting scratched!

It was my mate who did it, he used cadburys purple 2k basecoat then spindrift blue/green metal flake and 2k lacquer

Hey, Whilst the engine has been out of my GT and being sorted I decided to have some parts sprayed up. Annoyingly my camera sucks and doesnt show it as well as it looks (looks more blue in the pics) but owell. Had them done in Cadburies purple with rainbow metal flake in I really like it tbh!

Im not to sure tbh, I didnt provide the parts. He was abit sketchy afterwards but he only charged me for the cooler and the oil so if he did it he didnt include it in the cost. Im just gunna take the bits through tomorrow and see if hell do the decent thing.

Yeah but i got it wrong, sounded like he had on the phone but turns out he didnt get that far. The valves all look fine as far as I can tell. It taken a tiny chunk out of the block because of the rod im guessing

Yeah he fitted the cooler last week when it went in for the service I ment. Owell, never taken an engine out or stripped one before so its helped me learn I guess. Probs would have been cheaper ways tho

Nah I never take it near redline lol and its been looked after well whilst Ive had it so thought it seemed abit wierd! The shells look ok, no scortching or marks but im taking them down to a local garage to see if they played a part towards it. I know the guy took the car out after he fitted the intercooler. Probs happened then :/

Stripped down the engine yesterday to see what the damage was and found one of the conrods had bent! Is this something that would happen gradually or would it happen at the time of its cause? The garage told me that running new oil would have highlighted the problem but it drove there perfect, would I have noticed it whilst driving to there if it had happened while I had it? Cheers for any input.

My cars being taken to my mates workshop this week and were going to take the engine out to inspect the damage. Quite fancy a challenge tbh and my mate seems preety confident that between us we can rebuild the engine if the damage isnt to bad. Mite be jumping in at the deep end but would like to learn. Anyways if we do build the engine back up are there any better parts to use opposed to standard ones? I cant really afford to go forged but I do have about £700 to spend on the rebuild. Im not very clued up on this so any help would be appreciated

I cant really, its a crap situation as the guy who did it is my bro's mate. He has a proper garage that only really works on modded cars ect so I didnt think he'd be raggin it about.He's done loads of work for my bro and weve never had any probs so it could be one of those things, just very hard to prove really. Im going over later to see what he'd actually done prior to what happened. It could be a case of the engine really as it looks like guy I bought it from before hand had bodged alot up which I wasnt aware of.

Yeah I thought just as much, if anyone knows of a decent engine for sale lemme no pls!
