Got home at 22.45 last night, had a nightmare start to the trip when i had a puncture after 20 mins of riding and had to buy a new tyre. Got to Aprilia performance and had the bike set up, what a difference it has made cant thank Griff enough set off from Griff's to Dover and got about 10 miles from Dover when my new rear tyre blew out, suffice to say i had a very big tank slapper at high speed!!! not good. I missed 2 ferrys due to the break down company being useless, and managed to get another tyre put on and got over to france for 18:00. Rode straight to Pont a Mousson and got there by 23:30.
However the all of the crap that had happened previously was forgotten when i got up into the mountains, the roads were amazing and hopefully i will have some good video footage i can put up. I have had an amazing weekend and the weather was really hot until we came into dover where it rained all the way until i got about 30 mins from home lol, glad i took my waterproofs.
I will get the few pics i managed to take up in a bit, and i will see if the video worked.
-
Heading off to Aprilia performance tomorrow to have the bike set up, then i will be riding to dover where i will get the ferry to Calais friday morning. I am not happy as i have had to fit the stupid grab rail again so i can attach the panniers better. I have also bought a video camera which i have mounted to the font of the bike so i can record a bit of footage on the way round.
Day 1 will be going from Calais to Pont a Mousson, Day 2 will be from Pont a Mousson to Baldersheim, Day 3 will be from Baldersheim to Epernay and Day 4 will be from Epernay back to Calais. Really can't wait now, the weather is supposed to be good all weekend too

Very nice, we did South of France 2 years ago, great fun. Have a good trip mate and be careful
Thanks mate i will, here is a pic of the hooked air box i fitted the other night, this things sounds awesome
-
The rear pegs are off mate, i am going to the vosges mountains. Keeping the heavy subframe on to take the extra weight of the panniers, but the light one will be going on when i get back.
-
Here is the lightweight frame
-
Yeah mine is a millie-R have a look at the pics lol it has the ohlins brembos carbon etc, i have 2 subframes for it the heavyweight one which is on at the minute and i have the lightweight one which will be going back on when i get back from france. The guy i bought it from has owned it from new and had the other subframe fitted so he could take his girlfriend out on it, the grab handle and rear pegs were the first thing i removed when i got it home lol
-
We have one of these in stock at the moment. This is a true RSV R unlike most you see
Very nice, same shape as my one
-
Fitted the hooked air box tonight when i got back from work, Jesus christ does it sound amazing!! cant wait to get home from work tomorrow and take it for a ride to scare people lol
-
Very nice, nearly bought a haga rep once but ended buying an sp1,at the mo I have a zx10r c2h(the fast one)
if money was no object I would buy a ducati 996 foggy rep.my dad had one and it was the best bike I have ever riden and I don't think I will ride a bike that will better it.honestly it was amazing
v-twins all the way
One of the lads who i work withs friend owns a superbike shop and has a ducati senna in a class case in his kitchen lol, it has only covered 1000 miles!. Well i was heading to london today and made a detour to Aprilia performance to see Griff, ended up coming away with some motul 15-50 oil, oil filter, spark plugs, DID gold chain, 16 tooth front sprocked, 44 tooth rear sprocket and a hooked air box kit. Can't wait to get home tomorrow and fit it ha ha. It is booked in to see him on my way to dover to have the co2 set up and the chasis set up.
-
If you ever need any advice dude track down a guy called Griff at Performance Aprilia... He's the oracle! Yeah the Shotguns sounded amazing, narrow banked twins just sound like nothing else
Yeah i have joined RSV zone and a few people have told me to speak to him. Picked the bike up yesterday and all i can say is wow! even with it raining for most of the way back from manchester the bike felt so planted to the road, and the handling is something else. The Ohlins suspension is amazing and the Brembos stop you on a six pence lol.
The first thing i done when i got home last night was remove the grab handle and the rear pegs, put the single exhaust hanger on and it looks so much better. Once i get back from France i will be putting the lightweight rear subframe back on. Also it needs a really good clean as it got filthy yesterday lol.
-
make sure you keep on charge all the time, starting on a weak battery can lead to starter clutch failure and i assure you its a bitch of a job!
It has just had a brand new battery on it the other day, but i will get one of the optimize chargers for it. Yours looked stunning mate and had the same cans as i have
-
Don't worry the sissy bar will be gone as soon as i get her home tomorrow, i think i am going for a Moto GP exhaust as i have seen a few and they look awsome. Also going to get the carbon air box with open filter, the induction noise is supposed to be unbelievable lol.
-
After Dude on the supra club put the idea in my head of getting an Aprilia RSV-R Millie, i started to get some insurance quotes and to my supprise found it cheaper to insure one of these than a 600 ninja.
I have been to look at this 2003 model tonight on my way home from Ireland, and will be going back tomorrow with a deposit. It has full Ohlins suspension, Ohlins steering damper, Brembo brakes, lightweight OZ wheels, and lots of carbon
I pick it up next saturday and i can't wait, i will take some better pictures then.

bbbbbbbboooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
that is all.
just, bbbbbbbooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Phil.
Lmao Phil, cars are still mint i have just had enough of them for now. I dread to think how many thousands of pounds i have spent on them in the last few years, before i owned my starlet i was never bothered about modifying them. Damn you starlet lol.
I will post some pics up if i get it, i am stuck in ireland at the minute which is kiling me as i really want to view it.
-
Well the supra is no more, some lad from france came over on saturday and bought it. Going back to the worl of two wheels for a bit as i am bored with cars. Going to have a look at an Aprilia rsv-r Millie 1000 on friday
-
Cheers for the comments guys, i know what you mean about keeping the car Jason and i will probably regret selling it but i just don't use it enough to justify keeping it. I moved out of home when i joined the army at 16 and it has been nearly 5 years since i left and have been back home with the parents! i need my own space more than a car any day, plus i have a brand new Mitsubishi L200 company car which i pay nothing for the fuel etc, so it will be nice not having to pay out any money for tax insurance petrol etc for a while.
-
Here a few pics i took from today, sadly she is going up for sale as i am looking to buy a house.
-
Lol i took the other one off as it used to have two.
-
Here you go Phil some picks of the old radiator, as soon as you touched any of the core it just crumbled!!
-
I have just finished putting the car back together, what a bitch of a job that was, i had to remove the whole front end of the car so i could get it up on my ramps! and once i had finished i put it back together whilst it was on the ramp, and had to pull it off again lol. Very happy with the radiator but i couldn't reuse my fan shroud and i had to alter the bracket for one of my fans Grr. I will post pics up tomorrow when it is light.
-
I can't see me blowing this radiator, it is a bit of a beast lol
-
Well picked up the radiator and Do Luck hoses last night from my friend and will try and get them fitted tonight, and get the supe back on the road.
-
Not sure on that top spoiler but its looks pretty cool otherwise!!
What hp we talking? Im guessing over 700
I think it was about 800, but that was only with him mapping it lol

I drove past you on monday, was in my work L200 going past the team valley and it looked stunning, your going to have to wash it everyday in this weather though ha ha. I would have gone for 18's though personally as they are the best compromise on the supra for look, comfort and performance, i was paying about £280 for a rear on mine and they were pilot sports 2's so god knows how much a decent 19 will cost lol.
