Update: Toyota do the one on the left for about £9+VAT, bargain! Picking two up on Tuesday. Part number 90075-60006
Still wonder why they decided to redesign something that didn't really need touching.

Hi all
I've just bought a replacement indicator bulb holder for my 99V from here. Annoyingly the replacement doesn't fit.
Can anyone confirm if the part was pointlessly redesigned between 96/97 and 98/99 models? I've received one which works, but the bulb holder itself doesn't secure into the light on the car!
You can see the difference in the photos below. Also the left one has Y shape pins on the bulb, and the right one, the pins are horizontal! So bloody annoying.
If anyone is selling the 98/99 compatible one on the left, please let me know!
Cheers

I bought one of the early bird tickets for £35, I knew I'd be going anyway but equally disappointed with the decision. It should be £35 for everyone at least.
I ranted about it on their Facebook post like everyone else but they just kept deleting comments.
Some of my European friends won't be coming now as the travelling time for a two day show just wasn't worth it. Loads of other clubs are talking about boycotting and going to Santa Pod instead.

My Quaife had to go back to be re-machined as there was a problem with the drive shafts not going in far enough, if any of you guys ever have that issue.

Well handled at 12:50.
Looked a bit understeery towards the end. What tyres were u on?
20-25min sessions are not long enough really to get to know a track.
Up at Blyton, took me and a few mates half a day last month and 5-6 sessions to really get to know it. Then we were nailing it consistently in the afternoon!
Looking good tho dude!
Cheers mate. It has Toyo T1R, 195/45/15. Road going pressures so I think they probably went a bit high. The wheels got so hot that the centre caps melted and fell out lol.

Took a few laps to get into it then started to overtake some much more powerful stuff. Loved it!

So I've had the gauges all plumbed in and wired up, they're mounted on the dash! What are typical readings on oil pressure and wideband? I think I have a problem with the wideband sensor because it will count 111,222,333 etc. Then engine running just go straight to --? with the engine off and ignition on it's will sit at 14.3?
14 on idle. 10 on boost. Pretty sure she's firing pouring unburnt fuel out the back.
The --- definitely sounds like your sensor isn't connected or is faulty. You'd get some reading even if it's positioned wrong.

Ok mate will do that.

Hi all
I need to replace the rubber washers on my rocker cover as they've perished and leaking oil. Does anyone know what size / type I need to get? I don't have a clue!
Cheers

Three pod holder on the A pillar for my volt, boost and wideband.
I had so many issues fitting water temperature, oil pressure and oil temperature gauges that I eventually gave up and ripped them out!

I've had an Exedy organic on mine with 220hp for about 6 years now, no problems at all. Far more bearable to live with than a full on paddle clutch too.

Mike managed to sort me out with a next day delivery on parts a week or two ago. I imagine he's just really busy, especially now Camskill don't do parts

OE gasket being fitted today on the same rocker cover. I'll change the cover over if it continues to leak.
Alternator belt being done too as she's worn down and stopped charging the battery!

Welcome to Starlet ownership

if its leaking out of the breathers then is a weld issue or done wrong
if out the side is gasket
Yeah it's out the sides mostly, but i've got oil on the top of the cover too. The engine bay is a right state

Pattern gaskets are pants. Went through 3 before I bought an OEM one that sealed first time.
Ok mate appreciate the feedback. I'll try getting an OEM one then
-
I honestly don't know, but how much are you thinking for it in case it is?
-
I put 3 different rocker cover gaskets on mine, they were supposed to be OE quality ebay items but they all leaked. I then went and bought one from Toyota and it's been perfect ever since.
I had an OE one before and it leaked so we tried the non OE one as it was a bit cheaper, but that was worse. I'll try and get another OE one and try again before swapping the cover out.
can you take a pic of under the roker cover ?
Next time I whip it off, i'll get a photo.

I have no idea what that looks like so I don't know if it's there or not?

I did, put a crack right through it. Autoglass can still replace them through insurance for £75.
