A little update on this. I haven't done any work to the car yet as I've been at Uni since the night it arrived at mine. However I bought another GT (1995) that is ideal to use for parts, so the engine out of that one will be going in this. My brother has been extremely helpful (for once ) and has removed the engine with the help of one of my mates. So once I'm home by the end of this week, after sending out everyone their parts I'll be hopefully getting the engine fitted. The donor car: If only there were 4 of those pink rims, I could have used them on this

Yes mate, OEM cams for now. I may fit aftermarket ones if/when I build the 5E.

They are awesome, hence I had them made I know what rear bumper is going on yours and it will look sweet. I still want to see to see one fitted with a TTE spoiler as I think it would look ace, I think dub-se7en was going to fit one on his at one point..

The plugs are different and the map will be for a turbo application, so you wouldn't really want to fit that to your N/A anyway.

Awesome progress on this, really liking the work you've done. The C/F effect dial surround - Is it one of my old ones by any chance?

As the others said, I'd recommend buying them from Toyota.

Hi guys, Firstly I think we already have a similar thread but I can't find it anywhere, or I may just be slightly blind. This is just a thread to show us what failed on your engine, and what year your car is. People tend to believe the Mark 1 GT engines with the silver cam belt covers are the strongest, and the Glanzas being the weakest with the thin rods. Pictures of your buggered engines would be a bonus too, and as much detail on what went wrong would be great. I'll start.. 1996 Glanza - Headgasket failure I bought the car with the damage already done, I'm not sure what exactly went wrong in the first place, however it was suffering from a bad repair when I owned the car as the previous owner had a new gasket fitted but it didn't fix anything. 1993 GT Turbo - Piston cracked Again, I bought the car with the damage already done. The previous owner suspects a cracked piston, the car misfires and throws smoke out of the PCV valve. I will be stripping this to see the trouble in a couple of weeks. 1991 GT Turbo - Oil pump failure This was one of the engines my brother fitted to his. It lost oil pressure, it may have been a high mileage engine and maybe could have done with a refurb. We wasn't aware of this though, as the seller did tell a good few lies about the condition/mileage when he bought it. Idrees

Depends on the price of the car? If it's dirt cheap, make a project out of it.

I will be selling FRP tailgates with perspex screens in the new year, but not sure on the spoiler!
