When painting plastic make sure you use the correct plastic primer otherwise it will flake over time and look awful. It all depends on the correct lacquer really, all the paint can be the same.
I tried both ways. With the battery disconnected and while it was disconnected too. When I did all the wiring it was obviously disconnected (well most of the time!) I've checked and there is no short circuit to be found and all the wiring used is correct which is from another Starlet.
Thanks for that mate Cal dude I think the Advans would look AWESOME if I painted them like that!!! Quality photoshops there mate. Yeah I'll catch you on there some time
I found that my 'DOME' fuse (under the bonnet) was fused so I tried a new one, but it blew straight away. I've tried to fit a new one several times but as soon as the fuse touches where it is supposed to fit it makes a spark and a fizzing sound. Basically the fuse is getting fried within a second of fitting it. What could be the problem?
Nice work dude although I think the front splitter doesn't look right at all. I would get rid of that and fit a nice subtle spoiler to the back, would look sweet imo. Also, you thought of colour coding the wing mirrors?
Plans sound good Phil although I think you should loose the rear and passengers side lock and keep the drivers. The rear looks lush without it imo. Also, get the top front grille cut out and it will look a million miles better with some Black mesh in there. Good luck dude.
