its a greddy bov (probly fake like most of them). used it on the GT and it worked fine!
ive got a biltz one aswell but the car ran badly with that (lots of exhaust bangs and flames). ill give this on a try and see what happens
Try it by all means but you will probably find you will have the same problem. Apparently its because the AFM is right by the filter. This obviously reads air intake by the filter which the car is expecting when it mixes it with the fuel. The BOV releases alot of this when your not on the gas so therefore screws the air flow reading. This in turn means more fuel is put in compared to air which causes the banging and stuff. I had the same when i bought the car so took it off. Best bet is just stick with the standard re-circ vavle mate if the same thing happens with this. Let me know how you get on though

No problem mate. Always nice to know things arrive how they should do
-
Thanks alot mate
-
Quick picture for you
-
What dump valve you using mate? Tbh they tend to cause more hassle on both the CA and the SR engines than good :/

@templar - well now ive landed myself with a decent job i have alot of plans for it. First off will be more power so it will be running stage 2 at about 300bhp. I want 50mm over fenders for the rear and 25mm fenders for the front. Undecided on what wheels to go for but maybe some SSR Vienna's or Work Equip 07's. After that im just going to enjoy driving it i think
@Russleh - mate my garage stinks!! Im dreading going back in there tomorrow lol
-
Not much of an update but ive been potching about again
Took the backing plate off my spare diff today in order to weld the mother up tomorrow. Obviously its gonna get cleaned out thoroughly tomorrow but got side tracked today (as usual when i decide to work on my own car)
by the way diff oil stinks!!! This looks like its never been changed
Hopefully more pics to come tomorrow of it all welded up

Cheers mate. Yea the lexus was loud lol the 200 isnt as loud luckily, well not untill its at full chat anyway lol
Cheers phil, should know me by now anyway ;)

Time to update this
After looking over the car i noticed that the rear subframe was....ummmm.....fecked!! So new subframe was needed:
Old broken subframe
New Subframe Polybushed
Obviously a dildo gear knob was needed
And the car as it stands at the moment
Oh and just to let you know.....BURNING OLD BUSHES OUT HURTS!!! ALOT!!!

Ryan: All welding work has been done but i will get it on ramps anyway to check. The boot has rusted so im just gonna get a new one. Im thinking of getting a carbon one
Sparky: Piss off noone likes you!
Phil: Cheers mate

A few of you on here may know me and will know i had an IS200....well thats now gone and been replaced with an S13. Ive been wanting one for years but kept being put off from the horror stories on the CA18 but ive decided to just go for it.
Im unsure on the exact spec of the car as i havent really had chance to take a good look around it yet but the mods that i know of are:
Full stainless mongoose exhaust (sounds awesome)
Coilovers
Alloys but dont know what they are
OMP bucket seat (this is being sold)
OMP Dished Steering Wheel
Diff has been shimmed but got a spare diff that will be welded soon
Had a quick look yesterday with Mason and looks like there is a T28 instead of the original T25 turbo with braided lines. Also a manual boost controller. No idea yet what boost its running at as there is no boost gauge but i now have one ready to fit.
The car came with a load of paperwork for services and loads of other reciepts. Im also fairly impressed with the mileage for a 20yr old car....90k
All welding work has been done but all i need now is a new bootlip as this one is quite rusty and i dont think im going to be able to repair it. I think this is the only problem so far
Pics arent brilliant but i will get some more once i have given it a clean
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated (apart from needing new wheels as i already know this lol)
-
Right now, no
Im waiting for my mate to get his act together and email the pics he took when i looked at it
-
Dont ask why i said twin turbo lol only just noticed i put that. I just meant turbo powers
But yea an R33 Gtst should be mine next weekend if all goes well
-
No mate. Should have an R33 skyline next weekend
-
Not really an update but thought id let you all know that it should be gone next weekend. time for bigger and better things and most of all.......BOOST in the form of twin turbo powers
-
Sod getting rotas. Yea the drift range is nice but tbh for £1100 you could get some epic Work or SSR wheels over on driftworks. They will give you amazing stance. Theres loads of wheels for sale on there all the time at all different prices. I got my enkei's for £90 lol
Other than that its a lovely looking car dude. A few mates have got them and i love them. I was planning on getting rid of my lexus for one before
-
thanks bud. already started collecting for my next ep ;) this will be the daily while i get a major project underway in time to come
i hit a kerb when it was super snowy tho so now have a wee scrape in one of the wheels so im thinkin powdercoated black ;) maybe get someone to photoshop first haha
edited to say how old i feel that your grandad has one haha.
Dude you car is navy blue! DO NOT POWDERCOAT BLACK
Personally id powdercoat them white. White wheels on blue cars works a treat
-
haha cheeky gits the both of ya!
nah she stinking now..;) this bloody weather doing my nut in
im itching to clean it, but ill die of pneumonia whilst im out there
Mart man up and clean your car
You can do mine while your at it too ;)

And for streetracer. Heres a couple more pics of sideways. I may post a couple of vids but unsure yet as they aint exactly....ummmm....legal haha
-
Yea sparky i raised it an inch. The cross member was just about touching the floor
Yea he's right aswell, the ball joint snapped. luckily i wasnt drifting at the time but this is basically the kind of strain drifting puts on the cars components. ive replaced them twice is 12 months ;)
TBH i love how low the car is now for looks and drifts alot better (arse end is now very twicthy) but its not at all practical. Ive found myself stuck in quite a few places
I have a few plans for the car after christmas. A friend has offered me an RB25 lump and everything i need to get it in the car and running for cheaps. Also want a full cage and different wheels
-
Nicee!!!
Cheers dude
Looks alot better on them wheels...Yea i know mate. The green wheels were only summin we were messing around with as i got the wheels for £40 haha
-
im sure i seen this car at mod nats or usc looked awesome
When? Its been to a few over the years
-
Saw this last night out of the blue.. not too bad, bit of a drift shed and needs some work here and there but all round a sound car. Sounds just... beautiful!
I call shotgun for the play on the airfield
Drift shed is where its at!! Sod making the car look fancy lol it'll only get smashed up anyway
dont change it at all. i love it!! Actually looks used
-
I think its about time we had a photoshoot together dude. We both have build threads on here but we need a few pics of both cars together. You can sod off if you think im doing it anytime soon tho lol this weather is far to cold for me to be cleaning the car haha

Personally i would mate. Few of the boys have these and never use BOV's. If a 200 is bought with one then it gets taken off almost straight away and either sold or binned lol
