just a nice supprise shaun. thank you for the link bud. i would have never have known!
I always thought it drove like an LSD but never had a way of telling! Should have charged you a damn sight more if I had known!!! Glad to see she's being put to good use. While you're doing work on it I'd recommend you do the valve clearances, make it sound sweet
Getting my Integra in about a month so I'll pop through to Hull and show off when I do

Gentleman,
Sorry for the delays replying! I've been at sea for a while. In my absence a lot of bits have been gone to help another starlet back on the road (see SHEDLET build thread http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=49479&hl=shedlet&fromsearch=1). The rolling shell will be going to the scrap yard tomorrow: remaining bits are as follows:
After-market unbranded steering wheel in good condition (£50)
Front Bumper (£40)
EBC Front discs (Grilled and dimpled) (£80)
EBC Green-stuff front pads (£25)
Radiator (£50)
HKS Dual Turbo-timer (£offers)
Probably a few more bits I have forgotten, will get some pictures up tomorrow hopefully.

Hello all, sorry for the lack of activity & delays!
I will be back home on Tuesday (3rd Jan) for a few days and will do a day stripping bits that have been requested probably on Wednesday.
-
Sorry for the delay in replying everyone! Been at sea & will be for another week or so.
Driver's side window motor is available & I only put it in earlier this year as the old one had packed in.
If by door switch sensors you mean the little black buttons inside the doors, yep they're available.
Passenger window switch also available.
I'm away until the 22nd of December, I'm then flying away on the 24th until January 3rd. I'll aim to get these parts out & send them on the 23rd as long as payment can be made.
Again, sorry for the delay.

Where are you based? Is the engine in km still? Any compression tests on it?
The car is in Flamborough, East Yorkshire. The clocks were converted to miles about 6 months before I bought it. No compression tests.
-
Engine is good, undamaged & running, could do with a cambelt while its out. Unfortunately I don't have the tools to remove it but anyone who does is welcome to come & take it while its on the drive, same for the gearbox.
Unsure about the aero kit, it is as shown so if anyone can identify what's on it that would be great.
The wheels are un-branded & came on the car, they were made in Japan and are universal fit (8 stud holes). Come with a pair of Continental PremiumContact2 that did around 8,000 miles on the back (nearly new, loads of tread) & a pair of Avon ZV-3s that were on the car when I bought it but still have plenty of life in them. The front right needs a re-furb after the accident. I intended to get that one done & sell them as a ready set, if anyone wants to take them as they are and get one or all 4 re-furbed themselves I'll reflect this in the price.

Car for breaking: Black Quad-light EP82 GT Turbo
Condition: Structural damage means it isn't worth fixing, but a lot of parts were left un-damaged
Mileage: 150,000 (ish)
Aftermarket parts: White wheels, EBC front dimpled & grooved discs, EBC rear grooved discs, Green stuff pads, HKS & K&N Panel filters.
Parts sold: None yet!
Pictures and prices:
This should give you an idea of the damage:
Quad-Lights, Indicators & Grille
All in good, working condition, lights supplied with bulbs. Grille £25 delivered. Headlights £45 per side delivered, indicators £15 per side delivered.
Front Fog lights
With nuts & bulbs, bolt on, plug in & go! £20 each delivered.
Green Stuff Front pads
Have seen about 8,000 miles of mostly motorway use, as pictured loads of pad left. £25 Delivered.
EBC Dimpled, Grooved & Vented Front discs
Seen about 8,000 mostly motorway miles (fitted with green stuff pads), loads of life left in them, have been sat for around 2 months hence appear to have surface rust, will be thoroughly cleaned before shipping, £130 brand new! £80 Delivered.
Front Strut-Brace
Slight dent from the accident, still structurally sound, fits correctly & will do the job. £30 Delivered.
Front Bumper
Paint chipped bottom left of the picture, stone chips along it, needs a re-spray to look perfect but structurally sound and could go on as is and not look too bad. £40 delivered, I recommend pick-up to avoid any damage by couriers. Supplied with all bolts removed, will need new plastic clips.
Left Wing
Odd scratch, but generally looking pretty good. £40 delivered, again I recommend pickup, supplied with all bolts removed, needs new plastic clips.
Left Sill & Aero cover for wing
Bubbled from stone chips around the aero bit of the wing, sill has some paint chips. £25 delivered, bolts & screws included, recommend collection.
Left Arch Liner
Used but good condition, will need new plastic clips. £20 delivered.
Many more parts still to be listed as I get time to take them off, I will be taking requests for parts which are not listed, almost everything except the windscreen, right wing, bonnet & interior have been left un-damaged. Will consider sensible offers on all parts.
Please email all interest/parts requests to: pjpfordham@gmail.com as I will pick it up much quicker than a PM. Payment by bank transfer is preferable (avoid paypal fees) but if you're concerned about security I'll happily accept paypal if you front the fee.

Is the 0800 meet on the M4 only for people showing cars?

The advance didnt come with LSD its alway been an optional extra but if you jack up the front wheels and spin one wheel both will spin in the same direction if its LSD, If you spin it and the other wheel don't move or spins opposite way its none LSD
Now that is exciting! I'm sure when I was under it doing the oil the other day they both span the same way when I span the driver's side
Will have another check tomorrow.
Thanks

Bit of advice if you please.
The GT I just bought was advertised as an Advance which apparently had an LSD as an optional extra. Is there an easy way to tell if it has it?
Thanks

with a 5e clutch youd need a 5e flywheel that has a different bolt pattern to the 4e one, so youd have to have the flywheel re-drilled. you wouldnt need an uprated clutch with a -fe unless you were planning on turbo'ing it tho.. but if you really want an uprated clutch tho, buy a 4efte flywheel and an uprated 4efte clutch, and fit them
Got to agree, with 73bhp as standard, there is no need for an uprated clutch
Temptation is there but there are better places to spend the money

I'm probably wrong but I think its 23/30 for ABS and 23/23 for none-ABS

were exactly is this cir clip?????/ im trying to get the joint off but not having much luck in finding the clip to take the joint off??
cheers
Just had mine off, and on the N/A there is no Cir-Clip, just a spring clip, easiest thing is to take the whole shaft off, get it in a vice and whack it until the outer CV comes off
-
Just make sure none of your `packing` is sucked into the engine check it from time to time.....a point to note the LHD starlets dont have the resonator box as the master cylinder is underneath it....took mine off long ago tho ill take a pic of what used to block it lol
Yeh fair point, I put bubble wrap on and then wrapped tape around it so hopefully it will hold, but I have an eye on it.
If anyone does this let me know what you think to the sound difference.
-
Read somewhere about this resonator box just next to the air-box, simply there to make the car run a little quieter when the throttle is wide open.
Sorry, I didn't take a picture before removing it. It was simply attached with a clip, remove said clip and yank off the empty plastic box.
Using an old breather filter I had lying about (these cost around £5) from my old 206 (urgh, bad times), packing it out with some bubble wrap and black tape and then fixing with a jubilee clip.
All done, gives your baby an extra whole to breathe through, and makes a little more noise

Sorry to hijack the thread here guys
Can a G6 box be bolted straight on to a 4E-FE or just the FTE?
Thanls

IIRC you need part number 33-2634
Nice one thanks! Dimensions sound much better now I've actually measured the old one!
How come K&N website says the 96-99 Starlets need a different filter? :S
-
Has anyone fitted a K&N Panel Filter?
I ordered a 33-2094, which is what K&N say will fit a '98 1.3i and, well, it doesn't!
Mine is an SR but I didn't think the Air Box would be any different.
Anyone know if there is another K&N panel that would fit?
Thanks

This is looking great so far! I am definitely trying for an EP95 next!
What happened to those Corolla wheels that you sprayed black? I'm interested and tempted!

Continued apologies for delayed replies. Too much time at sea! Bumper is gone I'm afraid. Radiator is standard. PMs replied to if I have the parts. If I haven't I've not had time to reply to say no. Sorry
Also the rolling shell is free to a good home is anyone wants to pick it up
