i get around the 200 mark and it costs me around £40 to fill and thats off boost and on boost i still get around 200 miles to a tank where as before i used to get 230-250

so after being mapped its gone way down lol

the hid kits in ep82 headlamps are good as they have the projector style. in the glanza though they use a h4 type bulb. these kits should be illegal.

uhmm just so your aware mate Gts that arnt quadlights use H4

so any Gt with the square lamps is H4 so ....

gash i brought the 501 capless bulb style ones ! how much were yours lol

also can you tell your mate ill post the lights either tomoz or saturday depending on work

well tbh i just joined the gym lol no good being 20 stone if i cut down to 8 stone thats a few kgs saved

hey , does anyone know where i can get a 501 bulb holder ?

mine are all black and burnt out so i put some new led capless bulbs in , 1 came on and the other is so dim i dont look like i have any bulbs in so i thought maybe the connections are ruined so i want to replace them

ok so although i havent updated this in a while i have still been a busy man collecting mods and still building my car , there not massive mods but still none the less have took alot of time to sort

first of all nice and simple were these lil beauts picked em up for the pair delivered ( new ) £25 so i couldnt really say no

fits so well between the splitter

then i decided to get some quadlights , and i found some quads and indicators and hids for £55 so once again it was rude to say no

but this is where the fun ended and the hard part began , first of all i stripped the front end down , and 2 bolts snapped in the crash bar ( which has caused me some hagro) well anyway everything was going well , but before i started cutting i thought i would test the wiring make sure everything is fine and behold this pic came alive

i thought it looked quite sweet so anyway i began cutting the headlights out , making more space added in all the wiring earthed it all nicely etc and then when both headlights were done i turned on the lights .... to my dissapointment looks like i killed the black power box thing for the hids , they no longer worked , so i started to panick as it was now 5ish and getting dark , then i tried just the hid bulb straight from the lights wiring and nothing then i tried to power the hid straight from the car battery with the light POP ! so i switched over my wires so my high beam is now my main beam ...

ive now brough some more HB3 & HB4 bulbs in bright white Xenon so will give me the hid look

so basically my whole day has been spent trying to get hids to work , which failed miserably and i have given up

it was a long day , boring as hell and sure did take a while doing it all with a hacksaw only lol

but this is the finished result so far

the only thing thats really grinded my gears is due to the 2 bolts both on the same side snapping in the crash bar the right hand side bumper now sits slightly lower , so now ive got to drill them out and replace them so the bumber sits correctly , and i still need a grille and still need to buy some HB3 connectors so i can wire in my main beams properly instead of bodgly

and no i wouldnt recomend this conversion

ive had a lot of trouble with my conversion i was trying to do it with hids so now i need the car but i dont need high beams so i was wondering as i have seen that quadlight bulbs for main and high beam are both hb3 so can i just swap the bulbs to get the car back on the road ?

amjad do you know what bulbs the quads use for high beam

cause im thinking if the high beam bulb and the main beam bulb are the same then ill just switch them over so i can still use the car

well this converison has caused more trouble then needed ! , now i need to buy some 9005 xenons and the connectors and just wire them in the same as main beam , so now im carless again til i can find the connectors

hey guys basically been working in my quadlight conversion all day everything was going well all lights working high beam main beam etc sidelights and indicators so i thought great job done

then i turned my lights on and nothing , so ive been running around all evenin with a multimeter and all the conections have continuity bar the hids and theres no power from the hids ( the lil black box connected to battery)

my high beam , sidelights etc still work so WTF

im thinking maybe the hids have died , so i was wondering if i use the hid bulb but cut the ends off n wire it to earth and the main beam wire on the car will it work as a normal bulb ?

c'mon loads of people have done this conversion surly someone can help

brought some quadlights off this guy Arived the day he said they would ( take one day to arrive ) , very well packaged brilliant communication 100% trustworthy and very very good price and does some lil extras as well which is always appreciated

right i was trying to convert my headlights to quadlights and i have hids as well so this diagram is totally useless to me

i have the hids connected to the main beam and it works , so then what i did was to connect my high beam wires from my quads to the square connector plug

left is pos+ and right is earth and top connector is for main beam so all i did was connect my high beam to the left and right connector , but when i flick the stem to high beam it doesnt work ( MOT Fail ) , so as a trial i connected it to the top connector and this happens

which is obviously now high beam and main beam on together , i need sidelight and main beam and the high beam seperate so how have people who have done this conversion done this ?

i cant use the above diagram as i cant cut the hid wires so i cant join the main and high together ??

I used lots of spray like wd40 on the piston n then wound it in n out for a bit which sorted my handbreaks out and the binding

And do the same with the sliders
