yeah mate... I'm also running a 5e with some serious boost and found that the 5E oil pumps are a bit too week... I spun bearings twice within two consecutive days...if anyone know of any other oil pumps to be substituted plz let me know...the cost for a original toyota in my country is 126 USD...I bet just a few dollars more and I can prob. get a TRD one...

it sounds as though u have a loose vacuum leak somewhere...if u've checked all the obvious places....check on the TB and in rear cases see the opposite end of the TB where you have that AC valve attached...that's on the left hand side of the throttle body when facing the car.... once I was racing and had that break off sending the revs up...

Last time I used an FCD we had it set to 8 which was sufficient to accommodate 17lbs of boost on a T25 Turbo...you'll have to set based on the turbo you're using and your EGT.... That settings could also work for a TD04 turbo pushing about 15 -17 lbs boost.

I think the guys above mentioned most of what you need to cover... Safety first extinguisher and helmet... Depending on how serious you're taking it...if just for the fun of things ... make sure you have a proper working seatbelt if you don't have the harness...seat properly fitted...a driver needs to be comfortable while taking these turns at high speed.... for fun a decent set of suspensions with drop springs would do the trick...if you're serious then you have to get some adjustable sets...teins or d2's etc... One thing you do need to have whether it's for fun or circut....good gauges... Make sure u atleast have a lead meter and boost gauge...u might be pushing your car with decent boost... make sure u have enough fuel to compensate for boost...U don't want to be discouraged from your first few sessions due to detonation.... That's some of what I can think of at the moment..but it canges alot based on how serious you're going to pursue this..

Thanks Riko666 I guess I'll try the 5efhe since I have it already....just for the experiment I'll probably see if I get my hands on the 4efe runners to try them out some day on the track...will keep u guys updated ...

HI All I'm relatively new here.... I have a Toyota Glanza along with an EP82 I've drag raced for many yrs now...but drifted towards circut racing now... I'm currently running a 5EFHE with a 4EFTE intake manifold. Our Track is a small and requires fast acceleration out of the corners. SO I'm considering switching back to the 5EFHE intake. My question is, have anyone checked the difference by the way the 5efhe and the 4efte intake to notice if there is a noticeable difference ? From research I've read some persons saying the 5 E have a better flow, but I need acceleration and not top end... for that I've also swapped back out the oversize 5E Cams and replaced it with the original 4E ones...since this has faster mid way acceleration... the 5 E Cams are better for more top end... Hope I was able to assist some persons from my experience...now I'm awaiting some suggestions.... by the way you guys have done a great job on this forum ... now I can contribute my 2 cents !!!!!

Ginchey I currently researching the same thing...only help I came across so far was something like using the 4age valves...but you have to cut the length..I'm not sure...I'm presently trying to get my hands on one to measure and experiment. will let you know of the outcome... by the way I'm new here..
